Since it's release back in 2012, ETS2 has been getting a steady stream of updates that improve user experience, new content, community challenges through world of trucks, cross promotional events and more which shows SCS Software, the developer really cares about their game and their playerbase community.

At first, it is difficult to get used to since it simulates truck physics especially backing in with trailers but with enough practice and feeling, the game becomes relaxing and fun travelling the various European countries to deliver cargo, earn a steady stream of money through managing a company, and customising trucks mechanically and aesthetically to the player's desires.

Not only is ETS2 fun and relaxing, it can also be educational; it teaches that trucks are large vehicles and require high momentum/impulse to accelerate and decelerate, the speed limit depending on the country. The various European countries , city names, and words in their official languages, gas prices based on countries, geographical features, landmarks, locations and other aspects as well.

One downside is that the map expansions are sold separately as DLCs rather than free updates but the base game still gets updated, although it takes a while for countries to get graphical updates especially the United Kingdom. No offence or anything but the United Kingdom in this game looks really outdated and not having enough well known landmarks which makes it an eyesore to drive compared to the rest of mainland Europe. I still plan to buy the map expansions if it is worth the price such as during sales after going through the base game and current map expansions that I have.

TL;DR, if you like to drive to relax and have interest in European geography and culture, then this is the game for you.
