Art style is very soulful, story is basic but scary, puzzles can be frustrating but most of the time fun. Will write a better review later.

I used to play the internet browser version of this game years ago. It is very nostalgic to play it once more with updated engine and interface improvements on Steam. A classic browser game free to play, and one of many childhood memories.

Remember the arcade days when shooting galleries/on rail shooters were popular? This is one game to reimagine the experience with a few modern element to enhance the gameplay for modern fans. You are a turrent fighting against ISIS militants who invade Europe

What I like:
-Command system to get help and support
-Big Machine Gun and alot of enemies on screen makes players feel powerful
-Very strong upgrades
-4 unique maps
-Some Easter Eggs
-Easy to get achievements if you're willing to put in the time and effort

What I don't like:
-Must have some upgrades before going to a certain thresh hold of a level
-Must turn graphics to lowest to run somewhat fast
-Will get repetitive over time if you can't handle it.
-Mediocre story although it isn't too important

Neutral Elements:
-After finishing the level quota, you cannot gain XP from that level and must move on if you want to gain XP
-Every level gets more difficult than the last.

As of 2021, ISIS is no longer relevant or done significant damage to the world as much as it did before so we are safe from their malicious agenda.

First of all, thank you Steam and Developers for giving out Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs along with Amnesia: The Dark Descent for free. The last game, The Dark Descent is one of the best survival horror games in modern times, so people had high expectations for this game when it came out. This one is not as good as the first game, it's gameplay mechanics were very watered down from the previous game so it felt faster. There's no custom maps, and is very short.

However the story is really good and metaphoric, so it is worth a one or two time playthrough. The only replay value would be collecting notes and nothing more.

Now I can never see pork the same way I used to again.

2020 is a terrible year for the world, but for Half-Life, it was a great milestone. Half Life Alyx was released, and Black Mesa finally got a full release. And today a major update got added as well. I'll finish Black Mesa at an indefinite time period after I get a better computer so this review is subject to change.

The second game I ever played on Steam, If you are a free to play steam user, give Get off My Lawn! a go. It's funny, it's simple, and plain simple fun.

Premise is about a grumpy elderly man named Murray Mendleson who is greeted by aliens only to turn his gun on them to their visit.

Most people who play would just play for a few rounds and go, it's similar to Plants vs. Zombies with the tiles and incoming enemies, but controlling and elderly man with guns shooting at approaching aliens. Plain and simple.

Achievements are simple to get except they require plenty of grinding to achieve it. One involves spending real money so I recommend buying x2 multiplier as the only purchase. Only hardcore players will be spending countless hours grinding. If you are going to grind, listen to a mix tape, podcast, or a long audio while doing so. Tank grinding achievements are really ridiculous because tanks are disproportionately rare compared to the other alien types, and expects you to kill thousands of them.

Deleting and reinstalling the game is highly not recommended if you are going to play again because all orbs, upgrades, and power ups will be lost, game developers stopped updating a long time ago so no cloud save function. And because the developers stopped patching the game, you will encounter many glitches especially as you progress further into the triple digit levels.

If you loved playing Half-Life :Episode 1 and/or enjoy playing the overall Half-Life franchise, you should definitely listen to the OST. Comes free if you own Episode 1, you should check out other free Valve game OSTs as well.

Eerie , alarming, faced paced action packed, a few words to describe Half-Life 2 soundtrack. Fitting to the overall science fiction, post-apocalyptic, dystopian world that is Half-Life. Iconic tracks includes Triage at Dawn (melancholic piano music used in Gmod animations/SFM), and Hazardous Environments (Valve logo theme). Comes free if you own Half-Life 2.

OST to one of the most influential first person shooters ever made. Music and atmosphere feels true to the themes of Half-Life; science-fiction horror, laboratory, science experiments gone wrong, alien invasion. Great to listen to if one is currently doing science experiments, or recovering from a science experiment gone wrong. Comes free if you own Half-Life.

From the creators of Samorost and Samorost 2 brings you Machinarium, Machinarium like Samorost 1&2 is point and click, but only if the main character is within reach. Machinarium brings in more types of puzzles, creative story.

Art style is full of soul being hand drawn with pencil and pen to capture the steampunk robot atmosphere. Puzzles were from easy as 1 2 3 to keyboard crashing difficult. Luckily there is a cheat book that is opened through a mini game that can reveal how solve the puzzles. There is not a single word spoken, only through pictures in speech bubbles. Combined with the wordless storytelling, the unique artstyle and music, point and click genre, and setting makes it fitting to not only consider Machinarium to be a masterpiece game but also an artistic masterpiece as well.

Buy during steam sale through Amanita Design Bundle to play more games made by same creator; Amanita Design. One of the most underrated games made by an underappreciated developer.
