The first Dawn of War was innovative to the RTS genre, bringing in elements such as morale, cover, and squad units. The first expansion: Winter Assault brought in new factions, new gameplay elements, new units, and 2 new campaigns. Now with Dark crusade, there are 7 campaigns on 1 map and it's better than you expect it to be.
In the single player campaign, there are 7 factions each with their advantages, disadvantages and significant playstyle:

Chaos
Advantages: Diverse infantry, good morale
Disadvantages: relatively expensive buildings.
Significant playstyle: Daemons to teleport, use cultists to capture points first, and using chaos magic to kill the enemy.

Eldar
Advantages: Fast, being able to teleport, becoming invisible.
Disadvantages: Weak infantry, buildings are not the most durable.
Significant playstyle: Using super destructive psykic powers and webway gates to travel quickly.

Imperial Guard
Advantages: Has commander units such as psykers, commissars, priests, arguably the best vehicle units and best relic unit; the Baneblade.
Disadvantages: Weakest infantry units, weakest morale, not effective unless in big numbers or with commander units attached or with vehicle support.
Significant playstyle: Produce as much units as possible, get vehicle units ASAP, and plenty of commanders to attach.

Necrons
Advantages: Most durable infantry, arguably best morale (yes these guys can still think they could potentially lose), has 2 relic units and could revive fallen units. Some units are free.
Disadvantages: Slowest faction in the game, only builder units can capture points, slowest to produce.
Significant Playstyle: Only 1 type of resource is used; energy.

P.S. If you are new to Dawn of War as a series, do not play Necrons first, play the other games or start with a different faction.

Orks
Advantages: Fast producing, good durability, good morale.
Disadvantages: I don't really recall any disadvan- WE DA ORKS AND WE 'AVE NO NUFFIN' BAD ABOUT US!!! KWIT TOKKIN' SMAKK ABOUT US HUMIE GIT OR WE WILL KRUMP YOU GUD!!!
SIGNIFIKANT PLAYSTYLE: WE DA ORKS AND WE 'AVE PLENTY OF BOYZ TO GO, WE BUILD WAAAGH!!! BANNERS SO WE 'AVE MORE BOYZ, AND DA 'UMIES KALL US GREENSKINZ AND WE BRING ZEM DA GREEN TIDE. WAAAAAAAAGGGGHHHH!!!!

Space marines
Advantages: Diverse weaponry, being able to counter any opponent by adding weapons to your squad. Flamers to counter melee units, plasma guns to counter heavy infantry, heavy bolter to counter numerous infantry, rocket launchers to counter vehicles and buildings.
DIsadvantages: Expensive infantry, vehicles feel weak.
Significant playstyle: Using servo skulls to detect infiltrated units because librarians are not enough. Using infantry weapons to counter what the enemy throws at you.

Tau
Advantages: Best range in the game (obviously), kroots and vespids auxilleries to make up for melee, invisiblity, awesome gunships, and powerful battlesuits.
Disadvantages: Worst melee in the game(even more obviously) No turret or landmines.
Significant playstyle: No turret or land mines. Elite tier units can either be better gunships or better kroot units.

Now the story is your typical 40k story except there are 7 factions fighting each other even the guard and space marines.
There is dialogue interaction with all the characters, the voiceovers were some of the best i heard, and the gameplay has been improved. In the campaign , there is a "meta map" like Risk, there are provinces, provinces conquered will give you either honor guard units, or special abilities such as ignoring adjacency, or being able to attack twice per turn.

The game has aged but that's OK because we can play the game on modern day computers and still run smoothly on maximum settings, the multiplayer is dying if not dead. But the single player is a blast to play, multiple endings and replay value. According to the next games in the Dawn of War series, the canon victor is Space Marines

I recommend it to everyone who played the last 2 Dawn of War, RTS players in general, and the Warhammer 40000 community as well.

Came for the waifus and pretty boys, stayed for the music, gameplay, atmosphere, and story, left with melancholy and a new outlook on life and humanity.

I really like the post apocalyptic atmosphere of different locations, the OST is so good and fitting to the game that I listen to from time to time. The game play and combat is fluid which made my time playing very enjoyable. Achievements were fun to collect there was one achievement I had to buy with in game currency because I did not have the patience to do so.
After viewing the final ending, I agreed to delete all my data so someone who plays Nier Automata who went out all the way could also view the final ending as well, I had to finish everything I wanted to do first before doing so.

Play with a fast PC, I first played on a work PC which ran slow, didn't play it for a few years until getting a faster computer.

I look forward to watch the Nier Automata anime when all the episodes come out in English dub with voice actors from the game.

No thanks to Square Enix for not giving Game of the Yorha edition for all owners of the standard edition. Greedy executives at SE, usually when games get remasters, all original owners get either an upgrade or the new addition for free.

I just want to say for now Borderlands 2 is an awesome looter FPS that works better than the other Looter-Shooters. Good sidequests, RPG elements, awesome and unique weapons to use. However review bombing the Borderlands series because Borderlands 3 is EGS exclusive is not really helpful in my opinion(my opinion, you can keep your's to yourself). However I disagree with EGS using exclusivity as a way to fight off competition rather than better systems or cheaper prices etc. Same story goes for Metro: Exodus a few months ago. Pissed me off so much but please stop review bombing unnesissary good games that don't deserve to be review bombed.

One would call Winter Assault an expansion pack, others would call it a stand-alone game, even some would say an upgrade. All those options are correct as Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War-Winter Assault is all of those stated above. It has the fun gameplay of the original Dawn of War, also adds 4 playable races to the campaign- Imperial Guard, Eldar, Chaos, and Orks. New soundtrack, and new voices as well.

Each faction has their own strengths and weaknesses;
Imperial Guard needs massive numbers while boasting their powerful vehicles such as baneblades.
Eldar can teleport but are expensive.
Chaos has a high diversity of units.
Orks just go "WAAAGH!!!1!!!!1" and just kree-ate as much Boyz and mekks as possible ya weak 'umies.

Some things I don't like about the game is that the game is old so no more patches to fix bugs and glitches. The instructions are sometimes difficult to follow, and on level 4 of "Disorder" Campaign (Chaos and Orks), it's frustratingly difficult to beat the level with Orks so I just watched a playthrough of it.

Anyways, Winter Assault is a treat for all 40k fans, RTS players who love the original Dawn of War are going to to love Winter Assault, and people who are also here for the memes because the Imperial Guard just dies in massive numbers.

Back in 2004, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War was released. It was astounding, fun, epic, and really captured the Warhammer 40K universe and displayed it into a game. It differs from other RTS using unit squads instead of single units, different types of cover, strategic points, and that's why it was awesome. Soundtrack fits the theme really well, single player campaign was a blast to play, but story was your typical 40K story. Too bad the game is over 14 years old and the multiplayer is dead now, but still aged well in terms of overall gameplay still being a fun to play RTS experience. I recommend anyone who's a sucker for Warhammer 40K, RTS fans, and old school players to play this hidden and old gem.

P.S. The game and the series did not ripoff StarCraft OK? One of the worst forms of heresy is by blindly calling Warhammer 40K "a StarCraft ripoff" without doing research first.

So far I got to say, despite the game being practically dead because not alot of people plays it anymore, I am actually impressed on how fun and addictive it is. You run around pick up weapons and shoot everyone else, no teams , just every man for themselves. Half-Life's guns may be OP and on paper may sound not suitable for multiplayer but if you can just simply avoid, you can counter the OPness of the weapons. You need plenty of skill and cat-like reflexes to properly play the game, and an extensive knowledge of Half-Life and it's Weapons.

I recommend people who are highly competitive, have fast reaction times, and like to play classic games.

Back in 1998, Valve released Half-Life, it was the most advanced game in terms of graphics and other areas. NPCs can talk to you without cutscenes, enemy AI is intellegent for it's time, graphics blew everybody's minds etc. These factors are what made Half-Life so revolutionary and influencial. The game is over 20 years now and so far, it has aged decently in some areas such as the story, but not in terms of graphics and technical issues (there are many bugs to the game).

Half-Life may be awesome, but sadly it has to come with a few downsides, because it's an old game, there are many game ruining glitches to it, and sometimes the objectives are not clear and you have to watch a guild to help you.But still, overall Half-Life is one of the greatest games ever made. I recommend you to play if you love retro games, love the Half-Life series (release Half-Life 3 already Valve!), and sci-fi FPS, then this is the game for you.

When I first played S.T.A.L.K.E.R.:Call of Pripyat, I didn't stay long because it felt different than Shadow of Chernobyl and Clear Sky. After a few months, I finally got myself to play Call of Pripyat. Call of Pripyat felt different to me because the usual violin theme of SoC and CS was gone and the HUD was unfamiliar as well. However I looked passed that and enjoyed the greatness that was Call of Pripyat.

CoP adds a new layer of difficulty for players, trading must be something in demand such as artifacts and weapons that are in tip-top shape, ammo, foodstuff etc. Healing is now over time and not instantaneous, guns degrade faster and are less accurate, enemies hit harder and have more health and other challenging attributes. Some improvemnt of gameplay elements has you completing side missions, introducing drugs to enhance yourself life, in-game achievements to earn and make life easier, retweaked artifacts and new artifacts are introduced, upgrading is now improved, artifacts respawning after emissions as well and other game changing elements. Finding artifacts with detectors are back from Clear Sky , and some side missions contribute to the end-game epilogue so doing side missions are now meaningful rather to earn equipment and/or chump change.

Despite Call of Pripyat improving from the first 2 S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games, CoP still have some glitches such as ragdoll NPCs stuck in the environment, NPCs lined up in a row all aiming at one place with one rotating all the time, etc. But those glitches can be patched with mods. Speaking of mods, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games have one of the most dedicated and creative modding communities on Steam. (To be honest I never played with mods, I only played in vanilla because I am too lazy to download mods, don't judge me though). Another thing I don't like about Call of Pripyat is that at a certain point into the main storyline, there is no going back to the other areas (there is only 3 areas to explore which is a huge downgrade from the other 2 games) and nor heads up to tell you but do give you the chance to stay in freeplay mode to keep on exploring though just like in Clear Sky After reaching Limansk there is no turning back

Overall I think S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat and the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series is overlooked and not popular enough but still one of the best games in terms of horror such as survival horror, atmospheric horror, etc. Life of Boris promotes the series on his Youtube channel alot which is one of the reasons why GSC Game World will be releasing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 in 2021 after it got canceled a few years back. One of the best modding communities, and one of best atmospheric games ever made.

I recommend this to gamers who have played the previous S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games, people who like the post apocalyptic sci-fi theme being interesting and also semi-realistic as well , people who like FPS survival horror with some RPG elements, memers because of the numerous memes it spawned such as "You see Ivan" and everybody's favourite "Anu cheeki breeki iv damke", people who like eastern european culture, and people who are too cool to play mainstream games and enjoy cult-classics.

P.S. I'll see you all in 2021 when S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 comes out.

So it all started when one of my friend played this game and when I told him to write a review, he chose this game to write said review. I then played Iron Snout and it was a blast to play, you are a pig who fights wolves and the beat 'em up aspect is really solid, smooth, fluid, fast, and fun. Easy to learn only stay in one place and using the arrow keys while also semi-easy to master, you have to time special attacks right and remember which enemies you have to prioritize and attack correctly. The game makes many refrences such as Pokemon, Miley Cyrus' Wrecking Ball, etc. Achievements are easy to get if you are very dedicated, the only problem is that you have to grind alot though.

Overall, I believe Iron Snout is a simple yet absolutely fun beat 'em up game with colourful visuals and solid gameplay, the gaming industry should have more simple yet amazing games like this one. If you are looking for a fast action packed fighting game, give Iron Snout for a spin and you will love it.

Unlike the first game's demo, this one does not let you play, only allows to to browse and tells you to buy the full game which I will do later on. It's more fun to fart and take a big whiff of it than to "play" this "game".

P.S. I know the game doesn't work, I read other people's reviews before and only wrote this review as a joke for laughs.

Edit: But you can play songs on it, but using an MP3 player is a better user-friendly option.
