Despite the game being your average generic 3rd-person shooter having cover system, regenerating health, explosive environment etc. Despite the game being in development hell, and not selling much as anticipated, it's the story of Spec Ops: The Line thats the main selling point.

The story is one of the best and unique stories in a military shooter, it takes place in the middle east but the country it takes place in is surprising. Not Afghanistan, not Iraq, but a destroyed and ruined Dubai in UAE. During the story, Delta Squad led by Captain Walker face the 33rd Battalion; a rescue force sent but stranded and facing the squad. The idea of fighting stranded American troops is new and questionable but unique. Over time, you have choice to make, most choices are bad but at the same time good in some other way. The white phosphorus level was one of the most disturbing scenes in a video game but news attention was never heard of. The ending was satisfying with the whole plot revealed to you and what you have done, making Captain Walker the true villian of the game.

Spec Ops: The Line is truly a unique experience, the enemies you fight are unique, the environment and setting is unique too. There are collectables, alternate choices, multiple endings etc. Achievements are arguably easy to get except for the play on "Suicide Mission" and "FUBAR" difficuly achievements (I raged and died too many times getting those achievements), so dedicated achievement hunters are welcomed. What I don't like about the game is that there is not roll system to avoid grenades, but the game does try to make an edge to divide from the generic such as sand, slow mo head shots, sticky grenades etc.

I recommend this game to anyone who likes unique stories, 3rd person shooters, replay value such as alternate choices, collectables, alternate endings, achievement hunters since I got all achievements semi easily, and people who have remaining money over a large sale because 85% off 32$ is 5$.

P.S. I have 33 hours for 33rd "Damned"

Edit: 33.9 hours but still (close to) 33 hours.

A great demo to show one of the most unique games ever made, Audiosurf. Lets you play songs from your computer or in game songs 4 times. A demo done right. Really gets me wanting to buy the full game.

Heroes & Generals, the WW2 MMOFPS about stradegy, conquest, and war isn't the amazing and stunning game the trailers and promotional advertising and trailers says it is.
First off, the gameplay is really awkward because it lags alot, the gunsights are really difficult to use and relying on spray and pray rather than strategic accuracy. The game is full of cheaters and people who do cheap moves such as spawn camping with sniper rifle, spawn camping with mines etc. Since the game doesn't have much hack prevention, there are many cheaters who just ruin the game for everyone. Finding a game would take very long have when the game starts, you get a high ping too. BTW, the friendly-fire in this game is infuriating accidently killing teammates by explosives, vehicles, etc. being reported for accidently team killing, and getting killed by someone by accident/a team griefer.

Secondly, the game is Free to play, pay to win because the grind takes so long, you might as well play your other games in your library before getting a weapon/vehicle/upgrade etc. or you can buy the in-game currency which is gold that can rank up and buy stuff faster which gives signifant advantage over other players that don't buy in game currency.

Lastly, Reto-Moto; the developers don't listen to the playerbase and all they care about is getting players to buy gold and in game items instead of making Heroes & Generals a game which is actually fun to play. They just add new weapons/ vehicles/ camoflauge wich almost no one will get since massive price and grinding experience. One time they made all the soldier prices go up by 2 times their original price(this is now returned to original price), which infuriated me because I had to grind plenty of hours for that to happen.

My final thoughts on Heroes & Generals is that Reto-Moto should've focused on making gameplay more fun and actually enjoyable instead of grinding hours to the point of playing hours of triple digit numbers. Reto-Moto should've fixed the servers and matchmaking better with less server issues and matchmaking based on current equipment and skill.
If you are a person who likes WW2 MMOs, then I suggest you play war thunder because despite that game also featuring grinding xp, lag is almost non-existant because it's one of the most relevant games on Steam, it's developers listen to the playerbase, you have the choice of using many vehicles to fight with from ground and air forces. And the gameplay is really smooth and distingished from other WW2 Games out there.

Edit: If there is anything good about this game, it's that it's free so I didn't get ripped off, and the sound track feels true to WW2, Jesper Kyd, you done it right with the soundtrack.

The official sequel to the revolutionary game Counter Strike 1.6, made by Valve, the game has single player challenges with bots so playing offline is an option along with new weapons. But the main selling point is the single player campaign; deleted scenes, it takes place fighting terrorism across the globe in exotic locations. Simular to 1998 Half-Life, the campaign is still fun to play and it's story is alright.

Recommended to people who like classic games, people who play multiplayer, and people who like Half-Life style games.

A really hilarious and fast paced parody of 1971 Oregon Trail. You customize 3 characters, have them get to western Unites States. Sarcasm was used extensively in the trailer, Many different endings and scenarios to come across. Recommend for people who like simple, adventure games with replay value, loves creative and sarcastic storylines and retro-style games.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl is GSC Game World's most famous game and despite being a flawed masterpiece; having many bugs, glitches, crashes, etc. It's still a masterpiece. "Why?" you might ask? The game is open-world survival horror, games that combine those genres are rare and difficult to find. The game is based on a real place which is scary enough since the Chernobyl nuclear meltdown shook the world back in 1986. The programing of the NPCs are phenominal since they can interact with eachother in ways. The horror element in the game separates itself from other horror games by being highly atmospherical with it's atmosphere being dark, abandoned, and sometimes linear etc. It also uses the fear of the unknown and interesting enemy types instead of the usual scripted jumpscares. By the way, there are some jumpscares in the game but it's not scipted, it's usually an enemy around the corner. The concept of using artifacts as suvival methods are never seen before, mutants in the game are really well designed and scare you with apearance, it's killing methods etc. Modding community for the game is one of the largest since there are so many mods you can install that will enhance your experience such as fixing bugs. There are plenty of replay value that will have you replaying the game especially the endings and missions.

What I don't like about the game is there are plenty of bugs, glitches and crashes that will annoy you but also arguably enhance the game experience such as enemies nocliping through walls enhances the horror experience, and opening locked doors by throwing a gun at it because you don't have the code and plenty of funny pictures of glitches. Another thing I don't like about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl is to get the real ending, you have great potential to miss key components of the storyline leading towards the real ending, but once again, bugs and glitches can help you get to the real ending.

My overall opinion on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl is that it's a rare gem, and a great classic game. The community is still strong with mods, and the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. subculture it spawned. Life of Boris constantly promotes the game and series. The game is still relevant with the meme community for the memes it spawned such as "You see Ivan", "Get out of here Stalker", and "Anu Cheeki Breeki iv damke!". I recommend this game to anyone who likes post apocalyptic nuclear survival genre, horror gamers who want a distinctive horror game, people who like memes, gamers who want a good challange since the game is difficult even on the easiest difficulty, people who like eastern european culture, those with non-gaming computers since the game doesn't need big requirements, people who still play classic games, and gamers who found out S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is going to be released and want to know it's story.

Half-Life 2:Episode 2 is the 4th main instalment in Valve's Iconic sci-fi FPS series;Half Life. THe visuals are improved from the previous games, gameplay is still loyal to the series, and using the aging source engine, there is almost no doubt you can run this game on any computer you can find. Achievements are quite frustrating especially the "Little Rocket Man", "Neighbourhood Watch", and "Get Some Grub" which are a pain to do and most likely require a guide/youtube video. If you are an achievement hunter that is (I got all achievements, and trust me, it's painful to do). Story left of after the events of Half-Life 2:Episode 1, we play as Gordon Freeman; our silent protaganist in the series to get to white forest

The only thing bad about this game is this is the last game of the series, it leaves on a cliffhanger with no concluding sequel, it leaves off with the player questioning what will happen next, will the resistance crumble or will they free humanity from the combine. Will Gordon Freeman follow Eli's advice and destroy the Borealis or listen to Kleiner and use it against the combine, what will happen to Mossman. We will never know the epic conclusion to the half life series all because valve cannot count to three. whether it be "Half-Life 2:Episode 3" or "Half-Life 3". we your playerbase do not care about this hearthstone ripoff "Artifact", nor will the combined demand for more Dota 2, CS:GO, TF2 updates match up to our hunger for the epic conclusion OF THE HALF-LIFE SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Half-Life 2:Episode One is Valve's dissapointing but acceptable name for the sequel to their masterpiece; Half-Life 2. Made in 2005, everyone who played and beat Half-Life 2 was hungry for more story after finishing Half-Life 2. Valve released this "semi-filler" since it was short and not much story was to the game but it was important to the storyline. It also comes with Half-Life 2 deathmatch; a multiplayer Half-Life which is already dead since Valve doesn't support the game anymore, and skill ceiling is higher than most multiplayer games. Half-Life 2:Episode One's story is about our silent protaganist; Gordon Freeman and his friends and followers escaping the about to explode citidale which I won't spoil for you.

Since the game was made in 2005, most computers these days should be able to play the game without much difficulty, gameplay is still the same from Half-Life 2 which the main difference is the storyline. The achievements are fair and simple to accomplish if you are dedicated to get them so achievment hunters are welcomed to play. Over all, I recommend Half-Life 2:Episode One to people who love the Half-Life series, love classic games, have low-quality computers, want unique gameplay, are achievement hunters, have a bit of money over a large sale, and love FPS genre of games etc.

This is one of Valve's best games ever created, and arguably the most important game too. Half-Life 2 was the first game to use the Source engine, the most advanced engine back in 2004, beautiful graphics, smooth gameplay, and a unique story that all made it very successful. Half-Life 2 continued the story after the events of the first Half-Life, where Gordon Freeman, the main silent protaganist goes on a mission to liberate humanity from an alien race from the combine. Half-Life 2 continues to be faithful to the original Half-Life for having advanced AI, story telling with absolutely zero cutscenes, unique and fun to play gameplay and guns, unique enemy designs, etc.

The game is smooth to run since it was made in 2004 so most computers, even cheap ones can run this game without much problems. Game costs a bit over 10 dollars but sales usually bring the price down 90% to around 1 dollar. Overall, Half-Life 2 is one of Valve's gems just like most of their games. I recommend this to people who like to play classic games, have low-quality computers, plays non mainstream games, love FPS genre, want a unique distinguishable gameplay, and maybe achievement hunters because the achievements are fairly easy to get only if you are a dedicated achievement hunter.

P.S. It is best to use a youtube video for the "Lambda Locator" achievement during the first playthrough since it is arguably the most difficult.
