EDIT: The entire collection is out now. 6 games for less than $12. What are you waiting for?

Halo is finally on PC and it's a big deal. It's been over a decade since the last Halo game, Halo 2 appeared on PC and it's been a long wait for the rest of them to drop. With MCC, Microsoft and 343i aim to bring the older Halo games to Steam before Halo Infinite launches in December 2020.

The games are being added to MCC PC chronologically. Which means that Halo Reach drops first, followed by Halo CE, Halo 2, etc.

Is it the Halo that you remember? Yes! The single player campaigns still manage to captivate even decades after launch and with remasters of 1 and 2, the graphics have been brought up to date so they don't look too dated. Multiplayer is fun and engaging and brings its fair share of frustratiion.

The games are not without their flaws however, there are definite audio issues. The audio seems dulled down and not true to the original xbox launches. There are frequent quiet patches. The graphics may sometimes flicker in Halo CE when you switch to classic mode. There are too many to count, but MCC is not the disaster it was when it first launched on XBOX in 2014. The bugs are mostly getting ironed out through regular patches so there is a high chance you won't find any when you play.

If you're thinking about buying, I say go for it! The price is a bargain for 6 games and Halo is literally a piece of gaming history.
