For the people that hate this for being the "evil pathway", am gonna tell you that yes, it pushes you to do evil things like slavery and murder, it becomes hard to not do that pathway, since you lose a lot of the content it offers to play the "right" way doing the quest Open Season, also you have to "give" some of your settlements to the raiders in order to continue the story, but you still have their control and designate what those raiders have to do in those outpost/settlements, it's like any other settlement but some things change, just a few that are not a huge of a deal, you can get the best armor in the game (in protection since it's extremely heavy) the Operators Heavy armor, but if you want to do your " straight good guy" playthrough or you don't wanna lose your friendship with Preston Garvey (God I hate this guy, and I see this as a Plus, I always place him in the gibbet) then you can get some mods to skip that quest, also if you wanna continue the vanilla questline don't forget to get the max affinity with him before the raider questline, also you don't lose the minutemen ending if you continue the questline, only Preston gets pissed, just do the questline there's not that huge drawback in my opinion, just give to the raiders the worst settlements like Zimonja, Coastal Shack (whatever the name has), Spectacle Island, The Slog, etc. if you wanna get the settlement achievements just get a save and reload it until you get those 8 outposts.

The quests are quite unique, and there's the most epic battle you can get in the whole game in my opinion, only bad thing that you can't "replay" the DLC, after you clear out the places they lose all the unique enemies, unlike Far Harbor, you can still explore the Island and the enemies keep spawning and you don't get bored by just walking around, still after you complete the questline you have access to some "secret" areas to get some items and collectibles.

The story is not that great but hey It's content to keep playing, new weapons (really cool and OP weapons, mostly, am referring to you Acid Soaker), factions, missions, armors and enemies, but some things get sort of boring like the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ star cores, just get some mods to get those cores to get the X-01 armor before finishing the questline and wasting your time searching them in the most random places.

If you wanna have fun and you don't care about being the good guy being the "Sarcastic Jerkass" (also you don't have karma in this game so doesn't matter anyway if you go nuts killing everyone in your pathway), It's pretty fun to be honest I give it a 7/10, by the way just buy this DLC when it's on discount, and NEVER the Season Pass.
