Early Access Review
Lets start things off with the fact that this is an Early Access review, with limited content, and at a fraction of the planned price on full release. The content that's present is a great, and the entry price cant be beat. Id definitely recommend picking up if you're an ARPG fan. Especially if you know you're going to get it one way or another you may as well get it while its less than half price of what it will be in the future. I also always find it fun to follow EA games like these and watch them grow overtime.

Given what content is currently available I'm thrilled to see whats to come in the future. So far you can definitely see the callbacks to the first game, with the modern influences and polish still being evident. The issues I had with the first game, mainly being the pacing and how dated it felt, aren't an issue here but that's mainly due to the game just getting a fresh coat of paint. So far it seems like majority of design decisions and mechanics that made the first game so good made their way into the second. Definitely seems like they took some ideas from D4 for world design which works well because thats one of the things they actually did well in D4. I really don't have any negatives to say really as of now. The only thing I'd really touch on is performance but my rig isn't the best so I feel I cant really comment on it.

Now one thing I've seen talked about is how a lot of the little details and immersion aren't present that were in the first game. But 1) Its EA so I feel its unfair to try and point out whats not present when the game isn't even finished yet and 2) Even if they never get added, call me crazy but Id rather have solid mechanics/ gameplay/ etc. over tiny details that don't *really* effect the game. Do those little things make the game better? Sure. But I'd argue it doesn't take away anything by not being there. Its simply a nice addition if its there, and whatever if its not. A game shouldn't be crucified for little details that don't effect the core game. People are out here talking as if the game is cooked if they don't add special death animations for skeletons and special animations/ UI for different classes. I feel like people are too focused on devs perfecting the game to their standards and just get caught up in all of it.

But aside from that, the content that's present is great, the price is great, the future is bright, buy the game and enjoy it for what it is.
