I went into this KNOWING it wasn't going to be Megabonk 2.0, Megabonk kinda just got tiresome and needs more to it, INCLUDING coop, this has coop, and the game so far is goofy, but it's fun.

Got my Series X before the console Price Hikes so I could play GTA 6... come on guys let's be real, you know they are going to jack console prices up before the launch, you better get one while the getting is good. Unless you want to wait for the PC launch and If what I'm hearing about the Tech is true... GOOD LUCK running it on your current rig. You need that NASA status to run GTA 6.

Gameplay: Fun
Microtransactions: Suck
Modes: Not Bad
Island: Not what i was expecting, it sucks.
Showcase: Ehh
MyRise: Heel story Good Face story Boring.
Ringside Pass: People saying it will cost upwards of $300 dollars are overreacting, If you got the Monday Night Wars edition or the Season Pass, you got the Premium Passes included for each pass. What they keep talking about are the Tier Skips... But as of right now it's braindead easy to level up the pass.. And I hope they keep it that way for people who just want to unlock the content, I agree that it should have been bundled with the bigger versions and season pass and automatically arrive in your game. But I'm not going to pretend that these people claiming the Tier Skips are MANDATORY when they aren't, but they just do what every game before it has done and make it a long time to progress to something you want. If you don't like it, skip it this year, there are plenty of mods and Parsec so you can play with all your friends online without having to pay the price of the server shutdown.
Also they at least never expire, so you can progress at your own pace and not have to worry about a time telling you, that you will never see these games again.

Overall: Meh, only if your playing alone, Great if you are playing with friends, If you play with friends these games are always a blast. Weapon Physics being back (Don't know why they take features out of previous games) and ragdoll help this games entertainment factor.

First off, I want to start off by saying this games story is ass, this killed my love for Naughty Dog to bring us any kind of competent or amazing story in their future, "Let's tell of a story of how revenge is bad by killing off Joel in the first 30 minutes of the game giving him next to NO SCREEN TIME in that 30 minutes, have Ellie be held down watching the scene unfold like holding down Guts to watch his lover get assaulted and murdered and pretty much for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON LET HER LIVE and be like "Nah, we got Joel, there ain't no way she'll be comin after us." To which Ellie sets out on this grand adventure to Seattle, Let's have her kill just about everyone in her way accompanied by her girlfriend (who is not important) who knows she is pregnant or at the very least late for her period (Which should at the very least make you have some type of caution ESPECIALLY IN AN APOCOLYPSE) but just says "Nah, I love Ellie and I'll do anything, even put my unborn baby at risk for the sake of her vengeance" So they murder about the entire population of Seattle (Infected or Not) while being Hellbent on finding Abby (The ugly looking chick with huge badass muscles. Yeah her face is ugly don't give me that ♥♥♥♥) Killing her friends along the way of trying to find her. (One who is SUPER pregnant and DEMANDS to be on the front lines of battle (Her death is absolutely deserved and I felt nothing when Ellie ends up killing her, I'm really supposed to feel bad for murdering a Pregnant chick who wanted to be in battle in the first place? Yeah sorry, I was more saddened killing dogs.) Characters are just randomly killed off in this game (Main Ones By The Way) and never spoken of again. (Great character building there Neil Cuckman) You end up not really caring ESPECIALLY by this games ONE AND ONLY ending where Ellie finally has her cornered, she finally has her chance to end it all, Killing off Abby and finally finishing her vengeance journey, Then all the sudden during the QTE Sequence... She has a flashback of Joel... then says "Go, Just Go..." Followed by her sobbing, and weeping... then she goes back to where her and Dina were staying with their newborn baby... then finds her gone... she leaves, defeated, broken, and nothing like the Ellie we knew and loved... and the credits ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ roll... Sure people do change in the future, and I absolutely imagine Ellie had a tremendous change after watching Joel get murdered before her eyes, the only Father Figure she really had in her life during all the apocalypse, dead before her eyes... and because she learns the true meaning of Christmas, she just let's Abby go. And by the way Abby shows ZERO remorse or concern after she murders Joel by the way, she was hellbent dragging her ♥♥♥♥♥♥ group of people across multiple places, allowing a pregnant woman to join the fight, two timing her with her boyfriend, and going through the flashbacks with her she gets to play with dogs, pet them, be kind to people, THEY REALLY want to manipulate you into liking Abby, And I'm sorry, WHEN YOU MAKE US WATCH A MAIN CHARACTER THAT WE GREW TO KNOW AND LOVE (despite all of the signs at the end of TLOU Part 1 showing he was Selfish, Angry, and Completely hellbent on having Ellie be his surrogate daughter figure since his died in the beginning in a very emotional scene at the start of TLOU Part 1.) Most people aren't going to just instantly be like "Ohh Abby good character, I love Abby, YAY ABBY" The only relationship of hers I liked was the one where she met up with Lev and that other character I couldn't remember the name of. It started to seem a little like the last of us again (only 15-18 hours ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ later) And the final thing I need to address about the story is this... WHY WOULD YOU ONLY EXPLAIN WHY ABBY DID WHAT SHE DID... 15-17 HOURS ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ LATER AFTER SHE MURDERED JOEL?!) One big thing that could have saved this games story if it was just Rearranged. If we got to start the game like normal, And once we start playing as Abby and she starts looking at Jackson from a distance we could be like "Ohh interesting, why is she looking for Jackson? Does she know someone there? Is she looking to hurt someone, or find someone who went missing? Who knows, but now I am Interested." Then we get to experience a few flashbacks learning about her character, learning about her group and friends (Despite them being unlikeable or just not important at all) Learning about her past and learning who her father was? Then when you hit us in the face with that (what was supposed to be) shocking death of Joel, and we are there asking "WHY?! WHY?!" You then hit us with the flashback of Abby, in the hospital after Joel escapes with Ellie, Letting us feel her pain and anguish and why she was hellbent on looking for revenge, THEN playing as Ellie and Abby respectively through their adventures leading up to their ultimate "climatic" battle with that ♥♥♥♥ ending OR BETTER YET, how about giving us two ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ choices?! Would it have been so hard to at least have two endings that could satisfy both parties? No... The story you made and the lesson you chose to teach us was this... "Revenge is Evil... But only for the character we wanted it to be bad for, Not for Abby" who brutally murdered Joel, and felt absolutely ZERO remorse over the death, not even a hint of regret, or an acknowledgment of dialogue where she could have at least said "Is this what MY father would have wanted?" NOTHING just Niel Cuckman going "AbBy GoOd ChARaCteR, LoVE HEr NoW!" That is all I'm going to say about the story, It's trash, and I never want to see it after I finish my entire playthrough of this... BUT THERE IS A CHRONOLOGICAL MODE!!! The damage was already done, it doesn't matter to me anymore...

However, What I inevitably got this game for was it's absolutely brutal combat, The gore in this game is gruesome, People screaming when their hands get blown off, blood splattering on the ground and the walls, Abby and her muscular form absolutely pummeling people with her fist (I refuse to pick up any melee weapons as Abby, it's too funny watching her punch throats and stomping skulls) The ragdolls when shot and killed with their respective weaponry all feel good and satisfying to watch happen, Burning people alive with molotovs, the infected and living enemies fighting each other in some arenas, The Shambler was kinda cool, but pretty easy to fight when they are by themselves or have two of them. The new Cult faction is pretty interesting (Not story wise) but to fight them they are. And because I have this (apparently) rare condition in my brain that allows me to deter Fiction from Reality, I can enjoy violent combat and realize, it's not real life I'm watching and I shouldn't just go out and do said things to random people on the streets like unfortunately most of the world does anyway. Exploration is still kinda fun, but there are clearly buildings just there for you to walk in and literally do absolutely nothing in and that gets ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying pretty quick.

Overall this game is an absolute mixed bag for me, The obvious problem is the story and what a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ jumbled mess it is, They didn't make me want to care about Abby and her crew of degenerates, I didn't wait 7+ years to play as Abby, I only wanted to see where Ellie, Joel, and the rest of the crew was going to end up. I expected Joel's End... But not like this, not in the first 30 minutes making all my motives for completing the story just not there, Instead only looking forward to blowing stuff up and violently murdering people or infected in my way, or not even in my way where I would just go out of MY way to go murder them. This is what broke the back of Naughty Dog for me, Uncharted games were amazing, Jak and Daxter were a lot of fun, TLOU Part I was very very good... and TLOU Part II... Just made me realize the direction most companies were going to start heading with their franchises stories.

Yes it is good, Yes you should buy it, and Yes you need to have it in your library. But if you want to know more here you go...

What I ended up liking: The gameplay is a great balance on a first playthrough, I absolutely love the look of both characters and there respective personalities, Grace, an FBI Agent, going into this with some added trauma with the fate of her mother being a giant ass blade to the neck right in front of her, or seeing another person get a bag placed over there head and brutally stabbed in the throat you can tell from the get go she is scared, panicked breaths, her hands visibly shaking in certain situations (thankfully doesn't effect your aim to much) but not a damsel in distress entirely (Leon does save her at one point... and looks hot doing it as always) She isn't entirely helpless, She arms herself with at least 3 guns you find, Unfortunately 2 handguns and The Requiem which Leon hands you to defend yourself not only that but empty bottles and knives as well, Bottles more for noise than the whole Last of Us way of throwing them in your opponents face, You CAN do that, but it's not as effective since she cannot stealth kill until she obtains the Hemolytic Injector being able to craft items to be used in game such as ammo and that said item I put in the spoiler just a moment ago, Which you can also obtain once you get the Blood Collector, Sounds weird on paper and saying it out loud, but obtaining infected blood is your prime source of making all of those items (aside from scrap which they give you an option to break down knives you pick up that end up breaking anyway, so if your knife is on ONE last hit, why not just make it into scrap which you can then turn into some Ammo? There are a decent amount of puzzles to solve, not so much they are extremely difficult as in true Resident Evil fashion you need to find the right file/picture that will help you solve these puzzles. There is some sort of really secret ass puzzle, which as of the time of me typing out this review has STILL not been entirely solved yet, So I'll have to keep an ear out for that. And of Course, Leon's gameplay is absolutely incredible as it is very, very fun. I never believed more that Leon in a live action movie (A good one hopefully) could be played by Keanu Reeves more than I have after playing this game through it's entirety. His moves are so smooth and fluid, executions can be done near walls, railings, and even with your guns. Dude the amount of sheer force and power that goes into these moves makes the combat with him feel so fun to the point where when you move on to Grace again you say out loud to yourself "Damn it... Now I have to not be a badass" Leon looks... there is no easy way to say this without sounding like I play for the home team so I'm gonna just go out and say it. He's hot. He's sexy. He is just so good looking, I cannot believe how good they made this man look in the game, No wonder people gush over this guy, Dudes and Women alike are all loving him, his voice actor is really good, his mannerisms are still the same Leon we love, just with about 1000 times more Daddy energy. He gets to play with all the fun toys, Shotguns, Machine Guns, Pistols, that hatchet that all you have to do is Sharpen it when the meter drops meaning it will never break. Parrying in this game feels great too... ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ they really just knocked this one out of the park. Why are you still reading this review for ♥♥♥♥ sakes, JUST BUY THE GAME ALREADY!

Things I ended up NOT really liking: I don't like the lack of playthroughs I had to play to unlock things, and the lack of unlockables in the game. I 100% Everything except the last puzzle, which honestly, I don't feel is really worth my time due to the process of what you have to do, But I probably will go back into it at some point, probably even before this review goes up to finish it. Other than that, I felt that the exploration of RPD was a little disappointing but maybe that was just me, DON'T GET ME WRONG, it was awesome, it filled me with memories of playing both the OG Resident Evil 2 and the Remake, It was really cool to explore, but i felt there was something missing, Maybe a reminiscence? Like seeing flashbacks of critical events that happened in RPD in 1998? I really couldn't tell you because it just felt like SOMETHING was, but overall I really liked that section. Another thing I didn't like (After the first playthrough) was the Orphan kid section, I really don't enjoy going back to this on the 4 playthroughs I did, they force you to sit in hiding places for at least 2-5 minutes every time you go back to it, It's just one of those Sequences that almost every RE Game has that you go audibly out loud "♥♥♥♥... not this part again" first time playthrough, yeah it's great and creepy, multiple times I was just like "Alright, come on, I know let's hurry up here please." I also feel as if (and this is scraping the tiniest of issues here and really didn't kill my immersion in any way) but During the Raccoon City Exploration, I wish there were a few more landmarks to explore, a lot of these games that are not open world and have sequences where you get to explore and look for items/supplies, yet almost every single building has an excuse for you NOT to go into it. "Ohh, well there is rubble in the way." "Ohh, well you can't get in it's blocked from both sides. (Despite windows being smashed open and I could just vault into there) "Ohh, it's not important to go in there. (Ok well not to you, BUT I'D REALLY LIKE TO SEE WHAT'S IN THERE!) There isn't that much at all here because i mean... you are exploring a town after the nukes dropped on it. But I don't like when games have reasons for the character to not explore something just because devs were to lazy to make an enterable building with a NON OPEN WORLD GAME. And one very last thing that ALWAYS BOTHERS ME NO MATTER WHAT, and it actually docked a point for this game due to it's sheer stupidity. BEFORE YOU CLICK THIS, JUST KNOW I AM GOING TO BE TALKING ABOUT THE ENDING OF REQUIEM, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED BEFORE YOU READ THE SPOILER! WHY do you even give us the choice in two endings if you are going to make the bad ending SO AWFUL that you actually give us a choice to go back and redo that part again? They did this exact ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in RE7 where if you choose to give Zoe the antidote instead of Mia, Zoe ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dies anyway, and so does Mia on the boat. The ending is utterly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pointless and if you wanted your story to go in one single direction WHY WOULD YOU EVEN GIVE US THE OPTION TO CHOOSE IT?! In the bad ending in this game, You destroy elpis... But then the wesker clone fights Leon because he goes to defend you and boost you up something and doesn't go with you, gets his ass whooped by the wesker clone, says one last one liner and gets his head blown the ♥♥♥♥ off as the facility falls apart... then The last scene is Grace on the surface... a helicopter shows up (you don't get to see who picks her up) and the game fades to black, credits roll... Abrupt and pointless ending... I hate false choices so much in gaming. Like as soon as it gives you the results screen too, it actually has the gall to ask you if you want to go back and try the other ending, It WILL NOT do that if you choose the main ending. IF YOU WANT THE STORY TO END IN ONLY ONE WAY, DO NOT GIVE US THE OPTION TO CHANGE THE ENDING IF YOUR SECOND ENDING IF YOU DID ZERO WORK OR GAVE ZERO EFFORT TO IT! I had to talk about it... it angered me so bad, I enjoyed the main ending, but they did this also in Revelations 2, it's so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid... Never give the player two endings if you want your game to end in one way, I PROMISE YOU THAT NO ONE IS GOING TO EVEN NOTICE OR CARE as long as your game is good, and Requiem was good, Excellent even.

Refunded the Whole Collection, I figured "Hey it's been about 3 years, they must have fixed this up and made it better"... They in fact DID NOT make it better, I wouldn't waste the money, even for a meme. It's not fun bad, it's just slightly laughable at how they could make a PS2/Xbox/PC Game from the past somehow worse. Hitting stoplights makes them fall through the earth, plenty of invisible walls to run into, and those faces... man those faces... again PS2... (Let's say even on Consoles PS2/Xbox these models actually looked really good for their time, and even now in some cases) Some how in 2023 they looked WORSE?! That just goes to show you, don't always trust Rockstar Games to do good for something that people wanted to be retouched again. I never even bothered loading up 3 or Vice City, I have the classic versions on Steam still but just wanted to see if anything was remotely fixed up in this game despite what people say, Just save your money, stay away from the collection, it isn't worth your time or your money, Rockstar should be ashamed of themselves for this, and no I DO NOT CARE that it wasn't actual Rockstar and it was a B or C team that did this, it's still shame on Rockstar, Todd Howard did the same thing with Fallout 76 when it first came out saying "Ohh well, it was our B teams that made it, blame them not me, Lord and Master Todd Howard"

Mostly Positive huh? XD this is embarrassing if people actually accept this game as a good one, granted there are worse but even in 2022 there were much better games made. It started with this then DIED at Suicide Squad.

Edit: Got my refund for this too, Thank Christ for that.
