Haven't seen lots of the game so far, but now that it is functional and many of the bugs are out of the way, I wanted to vouch for the positive aspects of the game. FTK2 is bigger and better as a proper sequel should be: Enhanced combat that still remains relatively simplistic despite its many new options and possibilities thanks to the small tactical element and primary/secondary actions. Classic and new encounters alike in a map design that is visually pleasing while retaining the same art style. You thought one FTK campaign was enough? Even if the follow up claims to start with one campaign alone, its chapters make the base game much lengthier, now with optional challenges to test your mettle, and soon more to come!(although it will take a looong while, alas).

While I'd recommend to wait a couple of weeks or a month to pass before you buy so bugs and hotfixes can be sorted out, I'd heavily recommend if you are looking for a broadly expanded For The King, which now allows many new builds/playstyles, allows you to bring along one extra friend, and that will happily screw you over in familiar and brand new ways over the course of its runtime, all so you can go again!
