Well holy s***

Been a fan of the series since 1 released.

i bought this dlc during the anniversary sale because it was 8 bucks, and the dlc added achievements,(which I love when dlcs ruin my 100%. Sarcasm btw)

and yet, that was still too much for me. This dlc pissed me off so much I should have gotten paid to play it. Player characters base movement speed is slower than my wheelchair bound 97 year old grandmother, and if you hit danger health levels, which you will if you play on hardcore, than cut the god awful movement speed in half. I spent my entire playthrough yelling "MOVE B****".

The plot twists and story elements are so incredibly predictable, you can see the twist coming the moment the relevant story element is added. It also has a weirdly supernatural element that uh...is somehow still too out there for a Resident Evil game.

The environment is entirely reused from the base game, which is not inherently a bad thing, but when your already not having fun, adds to the annoyance. There are non combat sequences that result in insta death, which I died to several times which i cant explain very well without spoiling, but it involved getting trapped and unable to progress without dying/restarting, design implying your supposed to go one way, when in reality your supposed to go the opposite, and incredibly tight timing or use of something that previously did not work but suddenly does.

The only ounce of fun I scrapped out of this dlc was the very ending. The final fight adds some mechanics that atleast made it a fun fight, although it overstayed its welcome due to personal tilt/hardcore difficulty health.
