For ingame interaction with players it needs to run Origin. And they can't just remove these parts from the game. And then there's the DRM and other things. Honestly, I like Origin neither. But I understand why it's still needed for the Steam release. But it's the same for Ubisoft games, The Elder Scrolls Online and many others.

doesnt mean that it has to run a program in the background on your pc tho right? like you dont need to have special software to connect to a server. I didnt expect it not to have ea origins i just wish i didnt need to install it to play the game

Of course you need Origin. It runs on Origin servers and uses Origin features. There's no way it would NOT use Origin.
