Note I played on Hard Mode as suggested for strategy vets:
First off this is not XCOM its more XCOM meets classic fallout. An isometric post apocalyptic RPG that uses XCOM controls for the combat encounters. The game has a learning curve that is for sure but once you get it it becomes a very fun and challenging experience. Swapping out mutant abilities as they recharge, making sure you have the proper weapons setup for the enemies you are fighting, and then moving and positioning for the fight are all satisfying once you get the groove of it. It can be challenging and I did reload a number of times due to a poor move or forgetting to set up abilities and weapons before battle but I always felt like I could win the encounter by just planning better. My only complaints is a few bugs, how easy it can be to miss collectibles, and an ending that feels a bit incomplete. Other that I recommend it
