I first played this game in 2015 and have absolutely fallen in love with it, and think It deserves a spot at one of my all time favorites.

You'll feel every kind of emotion playing this game. The story subverts your expectations at first, likely seeming like another generic post-apocalyptic tale; it may seem somewhat vague at first, but it sucks you in with likable characters, then jams an emotional knife into your back. The game's story is wonderful, but it might you until the end of the the game to start to appreciate it. It's not for the faint of heart, as you'll definitely start to feel emotional at some point unless you're a lifeless statue of a human. You'll have to make questionable moral decisions, and unlike other games that flaunt choice, these are actual difficult decisions. One of these decisions is that you can either let a party member die, or have your arm get chopped off, which stays that way for the entire game. Every character has a purpose, and there's plenty of juicy lore and even key parts of the story to go searching for, if you choose to do so.

There's like 30 possible party members (you can only have 3 others in addition to Brad), and I'm not exaggerating when I say every one is memorable and interesting and/or hilarious. Speaking of humor, most of it comes from the game's party members. Oh my Lawd, the party members are wonderful. Each and every one. My personal favorite is Nern, who rambles about his horse-faced wife, god rest her soul.

The game is also longer than I expected. It can probably take you up to 12 or more hours depending on how you play. It will take you longer to find every ending, finish both difficulties, etc. Despite being a pretty long game (for an indie game, at least), there is very little filler. There's zero grinding enemies, and almost every enemy you encounter is unique and may even have their own little story. The Hard-Mode adds a lot of replay value, because it gives different enemies to fight, and another ending scene.

The music is good albeit weird as hell, but it captures the feeling of every moment or fight. It is similar to the Earthbound soundtrack, which obviously this game draws heavily from. I personally love the soundtrack, but it might take getting used to. Fun fact: The music in this game was made on a trial version of Fruity Loops.

I can't recommend this game enough.

I accidentally referred to Scorpion from the Mortal Kombat series as "yellow person" and they locked the God Thread. I also referred to Subzero as "blue person", but the corrupt moderator ignored the context and took action. I apologize to you, my mentor and beloved sage, from the deepest recesses of my fragile, now shattered heart.
