Public lobbies consist of random people shouting colors, half of which are lies by trolls, with absolutely no evidence or even a location given. It's not even close to being as fun as other social deduction games, because every lobby is full of mentally incapacitated players who rarely talk and randomly vote with no rhyme or reason. Then there's the hosts, who typically ruin the game with ridiculous custom options like insane speed, impostor can kill every 10 secs, really high/low vision, and won't hesitate to kick you from the lobby if you say one thing about their rules. Also hosts sometimes protect their cheating friends, by allowing them to play in their lobby while kicking players who call out the obvious.

Speaking of cheating, there are tons of ways to exploit and abuse this game, including editing a simple text file within the game's Steam folder to make sure you are always the impostor. I have also met hackers who have insane speed, no kill time limits, and can instantly skip voting so they never lose. How this is fun, I will never know.
