It's a short kinetic novel about a boy that only hears static noise in his head. He's not a fan of people, let's just say, even his own mother is like a stranger to him. Have you ever wanted to run away from everything and bury your head in the sand? Well, his hiding place is by the sea where the stress and the static noise don't get under his skin. He meets a girl that will change his way of thinking. She's the only one that actually talks with words and not static, the one that has a face and not just a silhouette. The only one that becomes truly dear to him when the time passes. Was she only a vision?
It's not a visual novel, because there's just one ending. The choices in this game don't play a single role. Still, don't let this fact disencourage you, it's worth to give it a read, especially that it's free.

There are some decent visual novels that don't teach anything or leave an impact emotionally, (Everlasting Summer has amazing revealing of whats going on, same with like, Who is Mike, Root Double (Love me some Root Double, buy it), stuff like that. But they have to be really deep and mysterious to pull this off, and I doubt a VN of shorter than an hour can pull this off either.

I was legitimately about to say "Is this Saya no Uta" Lmao, thats why I'm on this comment page. Saya no Uta is a masterpiece, and has a creative idea. If this WAS like that, I'd be disappointed as it offers nothing new in terms of perspective. Saya no Uta is loved because it has a real powerful impact of "Forget society, what matters to you is what matters, period."

From what I've heard, from even the good reviews, this doesn't teach such messages.
Katawa teaches disability, Grisaia teaches survival and looking after your loved ones, If My Heart Had Wngs teaches you to go for your dreams, Highway Blossoms reminds you how much you matter to some people, One Thousand Lies teaches you not to let the past ruin your future but to accept the past.

Even though there's only one ending, it's still a visual novel, it's under the kinetic novel label.

Also this synopsis has a bit too much of a Saya no Uta vibe actually, will still try it though.
