While the voice acting was really good and the plot had potential, a dark skinned overweight princess couldn't win me over. Being overweight, having a dark skin and being non-binary doesn't describe you as a person. I wanted to see their real character traits, I wanted to see where the story takes me, I wanted to see some character development. It ended before it even began.

Wholesome game about falling in love and making acquaintance in real life situations instead of relying on modern technology of blind dating. The artwork is really cute, but the same 3-4 songs that are played on repeat were driving me nuts for 10 hours of gameplay.
It's a good game, but I had to mute it when the music was too much to bear. This game failed to teach me how to socialize with people, but it taught me how change tires.

This game is one of those unique story telling games that has a deep foreshadowing but only starts to make sense by the end of the game. It's not confusing at all, it's actually a pretty simple concept of a story but it's admirable how the devs told such a well thought story through a platformer. This game is so short you can speed run it in less than an hour, but it's no fun to ignore all the juicy details and secrets. I finished this game 3 times and got 2 slightly different endings, both of them were beautiful. And yet I feel like there are other secrets left to uncover. This game has a personality and a soul of its own. I love digging out beautiful gems like this!

This visual novel got me hooked. Sadly, it's an episodic game and only the first episode is free on Steam. The trait system throughout the game is pretty interesting, hopefully the devs make use of it even more. Vampire the Masquerade had a similar system.

I'm lucky to have an amazing best friend to play this gem with. I enjoyed it immensely! Helped us cope with 2020.

Definitely a good game. I just didn't like how Jodie was pressured into liking Ryan no matter how many times I refused him. Kinda weird that he was trying to romance Jodie when she finally reached a certain age. Plus, he's kind of her boss and sends her on a suicide mission with no backup. Dude, how can you date each other after that?
Willem Dafoe and Elliot Page truly outdone themselves. I was mesmerized by their performance while watching behind the scenes.

When I get lonely and I want some social interaction, I open up this gem called "Detroit: Become Human" and just sit there, in my computer chair, staring at the most amazing piece of art that ever walked this land of earth - Chloe. Chloe is a real friend that was able to penetrate my defense. I'm feeling sick today with a little cold and a runny nose, and this pretty bird tells me "You look tired today. I hope you're doing okay."
HOW DID SHE KNOW? AND WHY AM I CRYING?

Tuttifrutti Interactive devs hire interns to hunt for people who play hidden object puzzle games and bribe them with a free key so they can write an "honest" - which is a totally dishonest positive review for Darkata. One of their interns with only 2 games in his library and level 1 profile found me and tried convincing me to play Darkarta, a game that came out in 2017 and that nobody cares about. When I told him I don't have this game in my library, he felt bad for me and out of complete pureness of his angelic heart and beautiful soul offered me a free key. On one condition though - if I promised to write an honest review. Nice chat with the intern:

The devs banned my screenshot with the nice person for a reason - because they can't ban reviews. If they could, they would.

A lot of positive reviews are coming from low level (lvl 1 - lvl 2) profiles that have 1-2 games in their library and no other reviews but "Darkarta". When I wrote this review on November 15th, 2020, today (November 17th, 2020) in two days alone, Darkarta gained 8 more fake positive reviews. Darkarta - a mediocre HOG game that came out in 2017 that nobody cares about.

So here is my honest review:

This game is just as generic as most hidden object games, the cheesy story and hollow characters, puzzles that don't make sense, bad voice acting, badly rendered scenes, strong & independent businesswoman. Nothing new here.
If you're making a game to just grub a few bucks, what are you gaining from fake positive reviews? Does it feel good reading them knowing that you bribe people with free copies of your games? Why not just own up to it and accept your piece of art as it is? Why trick potential buyers with fake positive reviews?

This game is bad to look at and painful to play sometimes, I almost quit it since it was so buggy. My game would crash on me a bunch at some point. Even to this day I have no idea how it just fixed itself and it suddenly felt better, but I'm so happy I got to play it till the end of the stupidest boss battles I've ever played. The lore, the characters, the silly music with it's sound effects - I learned to love it more and more. I didn't take this game seriously right from the start, because I was under impression that it was just goofy and making fun of B-movies mostly. But as I got closer to the ending, I got more and more attached to little Greenvale and to its residents. This goofy game actually stirred up some feelings in me like a perfectly stirred up coffee with FK initials swimming in it. This game has a personality that a lot of other games are lacking. A real gem that people don't create anymore. It's all worth it for its amazing ending.

A long and boring "fetch me this and that" quest. Left unfinished.
