Early Access Review
If I could use one word to describe Starbound it would be empty. Most of space is an vast, empty, boring place in reality and ChuckleFish choose to reflect this in Starbound. There are tons of planets but nothing really on them to keep them unique or give them flavor besides different colored grass and wierd trees Starbound seems proud of declaring "biomes" but they serve no purpose beside eye-candy and the occasional acid pool or rain. The creatures are randomly generated as such they are just a bunch souless cannon fodder devouted to bump into you and deal damage. Oh some of them have lasers but usually just the flying ones( the "randomly generated" claim really goes out the window here). Items are breathing some life into the game but I literally have scoured hundreds of planets and never found anything of interest besides the occasional village and dungeon, both of which are so badly repeatitve that I cant stand to go to other planets and see the same science dungeon that I just saw on the last planet and every 3rd planet I go to. If you want a game like Starbound go get Terreria, the systems present give it more soul then this sham, and you dont have to wait for terrible developers to "fix" the game or claim that it's Early Access as an excuse to not address problems for months at a time.

Edit: recently it has come to my attention that the Dev ChuckleFish has been banning people from thier website and steam forums for showing any signs of critism of thier game or shady Dev strategy(they are developing multiple titles alongside Starbound). Dont give Chuckle Fish ANY money dont support Mods and Devs that only want your money and cant keep promises.

@christianhauck5 "hard at work" "update every week". Hahahaha. I can't remeber when they last updated their game. I even get more updates from single player game made years ago than this game.

and they did right by not makeing every planet stuffed full of villiges and dungens, they are hard at work to make the game even better, just because you are unable to wait for them to come out with updates every week, then how about you go and do what they do and see how long it takes truly.
