Finally, I understand why VALVE never released a third installment!
It’s almost like a curse for many studios. But at some point, you have to ask the right questions: who are you really targeting? Gamers, or just consumers?

🔧 Menu Issues:
The keybinding system is clunky: it’s impossible to assign a single key to two different actions. And two commands are unnamed in the menu. Logically, they’re “Cancel Gadget” and “Cancel Action,” since the keys still work in-game — but you have to guess...

Major issue with the flashlight key: after accidentally resetting the controls, I can no longer rebind it — it’s like the key is “locked.” My game is literally broken. I’ll try a full reinstall. Advice: never touch the reset controls button.

🐞 In-Game Bugs:
Monsters spawn behind walls or get stuck inside them as ragdolls. You can’t kill them, they stay blocked, and the match becomes unplayable. Sad if you were on wave 5…

Ragdolls clip through walls. Not game-breaking, but for a game that was supposed to be “complete” at launch, it’s kind of ridiculous.

Severe performance drops (stuttering) were fixed by enabling NVIDIA Reflex Boost and disabling LUMEN. LUMEN is stunning for lighting effects, but clearly not optimized yet for all systems — even high-end ones. It’s full global Ray Tracing, but not mature yet.

Banners and levels get mixed up in the multiplayer lobby when switching classes. UI needs a rework.

And the servers — let’s talk about them: constant desyncs, hits not registering, sudden teleportation into a horde of monsters… Are we hosted in Lebanon? On a desert island? Needs urgent fixing.

Freezes can completely ruin your game: you’re stuck during the freeze, then once it’s over, your keys no longer respond. Lovely — especially when you’re on wave 5 in Hell on Earth.

The aim does not match the FOV. There is still this zoom issue when you have a FOV of 120, and when you aim at a FOV of 80, it is just awful.

The “COMPLETE ALL DAILY CHALLENGES” challenges are not validating correctly: I am at 6/7, I am only missing one objective... but I cannot achieve it. This is the second time this has happened to me. There is nothing more frustrating than fulfilling all the conditions without ever being rewarded.

Another issue: floating enemy bodies, very much alive, when you join a game that's already in progress. A supernatural atmosphere is guaranteed, like a séance.

The skills menu (perks) is no exception: a bug allows you to buy the entire tree without your credits being deducted... except that it's actually a desynchronization issue with the servers. The result: when you restart, everything goes back to zero. And the only solution is to restart the game over and over again... replaying the introduction three to five times in a row. A work of art.

🎮 Design Flaws:
Dismemberment is fun, but after playing Shadow Warrior 2, it’s hard not to compare: I slash the upper body with a katana… and the legs fall off? Where are the guts? There’s a lack of logical gore.

Bodies limited to 10 on the map? I understand performance concerns, but look at Payday 2: corpses at least stay around. Here, kill 10 monsters only to see them vanish because another player kills elsewhere? Immersion ruined.

The banner unlock system is poorly designed. I would have placed banners at the top, with a scrollable 3-row menu like in Black Ops 1, sorted by Tier, standard, or animated. Right now, it’s messy and ugly.

A season pass for a €40 game? And for uninspired skins? Sure, it might keep a small part of the player base engaged, but it still feels like a cash grab.

The Specialist system doesn’t convince: each one is locked to a single class and ability, which really limits gameplay customization. A shame.

No prestige system? Nothing rewarding for reaching level 30? Just a bland animated banner and that’s it? You could’ve done something simple and effective:

Prestige 1: unique head + exclusive banner
Prestige 2: unique body + exclusive banner
Prestige 3: stylish weapon skin + exclusive banner

…And so on. Rewarding dedicated players isn’t hard. As it is, it just feels like you’re mocking us.

Very limited customization: it is impossible to modify the original crosshairs, which are simply awful. There is no option to adjust the reflex sight: you have to make do with a huge, garish green dot, probably the same as the one used by stormtroopers—with the same questionable effectiveness.

Character customization is also extremely limited. Forget the crazy hats from Killing Floor 2: those days are gone, replaced by the Battle Pass and its bland content.

As for skins, they're far from memorable — some types of weapons have almost none. A richer customization system, like in Payday 3 (as flawed as it may be), wouldn't have been out of place.

🕹️ Conclusion:
These are fixable issues over time, but releasing such an incomplete version after a 4-month delay is disappointing.
If you want to preserve your license, you’ll need to get your act together. The game has potential, and I’m still having fun — but rushing to release is rarely a good strategy.
