A great entry point into the series for beginners, but also a nostalgic trip through the series for veterans - Yakuza: Like a Dragon provides a fresh take on the series with combat that feels like a mixture of Dragon Quest and Persona with the chaos you'd expect from a Yakuza game, a huge plethora of sidestories and world content that makes the game world feel really lived in, and the narrative has a fresh, yet familiar feeling to it with protagonist Ichiban Kasuga being more of a charismatic leader, than Kazuma Kiryu's more stoic nature, with the differences represented through every aspect of the game.

The gear and upgrade system is in-depth and paced, though to complete the game's post-story endgame content you will need to max out everything you can, as the encounters are more than willing to leave you on your ass again and again.

Overall, yeah, just get it for the Karaoke tbh, if you need any other reason to play this game. Maybe get the middle tier version of the game too, as some of the DLC isn't as worth it.
