A heavy grind but fun. Some of the best car combat I've seen in a long while, combined with a Skyrim like open world where every quest felt like a memorable one. Hand to hand can feel very cluncky at times and is used just a bit too much, but once you get past that you'll find one of the most under rated game not only of 2015 but of the decade. NOT a movie chash in, the two are very different. A story that is genuinly intriguing, characters that are very interesting, and easily the best open world desert since Fallout NV. The only real gripe I have is the ending, you will expect it if you know Mad Max (like I did) but if this is your first experience with the franchise you may be suprised. If you have a love for Mad Max like me or just a love for post-apoc settings and stories, this is a must own.

One of the best survival fps's I have ever played. The ending can be seen from a mile away and theres not much replayability though so I'd get it on sale.

A great pirate game, not a very good Assasins Creed game. Basically AC3 with a pirate skin. I was never able to finish it due to the boring Assasins gameplay. A great ship combat and pirate sim though, but dont expect much beyond that.

Not for everyone, the "action" scenes are nothing more than glorified QTE's. This is above all a point and click adventure, and a good one, not the best of it's genre but not the worst either. Much like Tales from the Borderlands, you start to make meaningfull choices early on and your choices will affect the other characters, whic is made even harder if you have seen the movies or read the comics. I alos like the art style of this one, it's more like an animated film than a comic book, mixes it up abit. Still, I wish this were a short film or mini series rather than a game, as most TellTale games feel. Get this only if you are patient enough to put up with it, and dont go in expecting it to be a third movie because you'll be very disappointed. Oh, and TellTale, please get a new engine to run your games on, I am getting way to much stutter for my PC's specs.

Not everyones cup of tea, and just because you liked Soulsborne games doesn't mean you'll like The Surge. Alot of things that I liked the most about Soulsborne games aren't in The Surge, so dont go into it thinking it's a Soulsborne game, because you'll just be disappointed. When you just play The Surge and not try to play Dark Souls 4, you may greatly enjoy your time in the game.

Game is much more polished than it used to be, the community is toxic but there are a few servers where you can still have fun.

Worth it at a discount, not enough longevity for a $60 price tag

I used to not be a fan of the souls series, I tried to play each of them starting with DS1 and ending with Bloodborne, and each and every time I just got mad and gave up. Then Dark Souls 3 went on sale and a friend wanted me to get it so we could play together, so I caved and bought it only expecting to play maybe 1-2 hours of it and then return it. Things did not turn out that way though, I fell in love with this game, and only a week later and I have put 30 hours into it, if you look at my other games you'll see how much that really is for me. To be honest, I was in a bit of a slump as there were no games that really caught my interest (at least since Fallout 4) I would just buy a game, play maybe 5-9 hours and lose any desire to continue playing. I love the complicated lore, the amazing scenery, and above all else, the overwhelming challenge. I named my character Hugh Janus, made him an obese black man, and a face esembling a cows clitorus, and off I went on one hell of a journey. I think I may go back and replay the other games in the series, only after I am done with this one, because I have to say it has quickly become one of the best games I have ever played. I know how it feels to be scared off by the reputation these games have earned, and you will want to give up at times, but if you just power through and see what waits after that boss, you'll want to do the same for the one after that, and the one after that, and so on. If you ever feel like you can't do it, just do what I do and think, I've made it this far, might as well keep going.

I went in expecting a game, but I came out with a slideshow that crashs when you chnage any video setting, and had a max frame rate of 30, even on my system which I'll admit, is no beast, but it gets the job done most of the time. The loading screens take ages (and yes, they do let you know thins but that doesn't fix the problem. All in all, might have been a good game, if the damn thing even worked.
