I tried the demo, played a few videos, and was quite impressed with it.
I had a few other Media-Players installed on my computer, but right away I could notice better crispness, clarity and an overall greater quality of the video and audio that I see and hear with Zoom Player. I like the simplicity and intuitive feel of the controls, yet there are still a lot of options available that I can experiment with and set things to how I like. This will now be my default Media Player, and I'm glad to have bought the full version to help support the Developers of this high-quality software.

For a full list of features and comparisons of the different versions of Zoom Player, visit the following page: http://inmatrix.com/zplayer/pro/versions_home8.shtml

PS: As for the argument I see from some, "Why buy Zoom Player when there's plenty of free media-players available?".... Well, call me strange, but I like to help support the Developers of programs I enjoy and use.

Yes, there's free media-players out there, but they also tend to have a "Donate" option some place on their website or an option to upgrade to a Pro version. Plus, there's also a free-version of Zoom-Player that can be downloaded as well.

Just watched the latest episode of Games of Thrones with the Zoom Player. Format of the episode is in MP4. With WinAMP I constantly see blocks and discolorations. With Zoom Player the images is 100% flued. I also noticed that with DivX AVI's the image is just a bit sharper than with WinAMP.

Think it's clear I'll grab this one as well coming month and ditch WinAMP for movies ;-)

@DemiGoth: bk3000 gives a good answer. Overall I'd say I prefer Zoom Player compared to any other media-player I've ever tried (such as WinAmp, VLC, Media Player Classic (MPC), Windows Media Player, PotPlayer, etc...). Zoom-Player for playing audio seems to be rather good, and there's settings that can be adjusted along with a sound-equalizer (with several preset settings to choose from). I think that WinAmp is still a really good choice of media-player for audio / music though. Zoom-Player can play DVD's, but for blu-ray format it would need to be decrypted: "Decrypted Blu-Ray Movie playback with Subtitle support.". You can see the following thread for more info regarding that: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/269550/discussions/0/540738050993564000/
I'd suggest to give the Demo of Zoom-Player a try see how it works and how you like it.

Thanks for the quick reply BK3K. I agree, video is so-so in WinAMP. I have some pretty good codex' because I'm rendering lots of game feeds, but stil WinAMP has trouble with them AND doesn't support most formats as good as they should (WMF and MP4 to name just 2).
I have already instaled the demo of ZOOM and will check it out later on (next week with the new episode of Game of Thrones)

@DemiGoth Last time I tried, Winamp is pretty terrible for video. It is still my favorite audio player but Zoomplayer is FAR superior for video.

Winamp was clearly built with audio in mind and video was an afterthought. Zoomplayer was obviously built with video in mind.

How is this one compared to WinAMP when it comes to playing video files. Does this one also support DVD playback (still need a good DVD player on Windows...)
