Not a Pnc Game in the Classic Sense

Another game advertised as point and click that I personally do not see this as, more of a walking sim with clickable hotspots. Being from the Monkey Island, Loom, Lure of the temptress, Simon the Sorcerer etc days, I can't personally look at something like this and class this as a "Point and Click" Adventure.
Have had this in my library for years, just getting around to playing it, with about 3 hours gameplay only, does show a little more but I was away from computer for a while. And with no difficult puzzles in the whole playthrough, this falls far too short to be classed as a positive for me.
The voice acting is ok and the times during the game when you have to work out what questions to pictures are required, that is a little interesting. However the game is far too short, far too simple with hand holding throughout, and just lacks what I would expect from any game that advertises as PNC (Which this is not).

My Score - 2/10 - A 5 year old may find this tricky, but anyone who isn't thick won't.

Interesting Story but Poorly Implemented

So I picked this up for £7 from outside of Steam, and currently I am 6 hours into this game. I think for this price the story and characters are getting me quite close to saying it is worth it, however even with this being an interesting playthrough so far with a pretty well written and voiced game, it does have a few pretty obvious flaws.
So I have seen many people complain about the game crashing or freezing, I did not come across this. But what I did have to put up with was some lazy development choices, such as a poor camera utilisation which feels like it was designed for kids consoles. That isn't a complete game breaker for me, I have played through many games with poor camera usage for this genre in the past. One thing that is really annoying for me though is the lazy graphical glitches you notice here and there, sometimes lacking in abit of polish. The main thing that I have struggled with though is that when the characters are voiced, the lip syncing isn't exactly perfect and it does let the game down. Graphically the game is passable, but not great, graphics not the biggest thing I look for in a PNC game though so I am ok with what we get here.

Will update this when I finish the game, as a lover of old school PNC adventures this will sit with a negative review because the price on steam is far overpriced for what this is. Like I said I did not and will not EVER buy from Steam because I buy where ever is cheapest always. Over 1800 games, and about 5 of those are direct from Steam. And they are purchases for my son and not for me.

Specs used for playthrough - 3990x, 64gb ddr4, Strx Mobo, 2080ti x 2.

Playable a handful of times

Bought this to join my children cross platform, first couple of times we played it was alright because the children found it funny. But after that initial play time, the game shows that it is extremely one dimensional and pretty dull. Price is fair for what it is, but I can't recommend this and for a change I think even for a free game I couldn't recommend it.

Slow a s s Story and Boredom Simulator

Bought this from a key site where I get 99% of my games. Cost me about £5 I believe as I missed this from the Humble Bundle last time out. The first 15 to 20 minutes you spend watching dull and boring cinematics, then it's a walking and finding simulator. Graphically quite good but the story and pace of this game is almost putting me in a coma. I literally can't take anymore of this complete ♥♥♥♥. 1.6 hours played, I am done.

What did I just play

Since the 1990's or a little earlier I have been playing Point and click adventures, and over this time I have come across quite a few that just didn't cut it. But from time to time I come across a PNC game that I just can't play for a variety of reasons. This is just another one of those games, I can't write a large review because that wouldn't be possible with such a low playtime. However I can give my opinion of the 16 minutes that I tried this game before refunding it so here goes.

I aim to purchase all of nearly all point and click games that come onto the Steam platform, usually I do buy codes from outside of Steam, however I do tend to play all PNC games eventually, rarely one of two may get missed due to my not liking the look of them. Neofeud I thought looked extremely strange when I watched the trailer, and I wasn't quite sure if I would like it, but anyway I thought I would buy it and try it and see how that went. Read the reviews and although they where not amazing, I always like to give new developers of PNC games a chance.
Now hats off to the developers/Developer for one thing, they/he/she developed Neofeud knowing it was nothing like other point and click games, this can go one way or the other but it is good to see this sometimes. PNC games set in the future are usually quite fun to play and exciting, top of my head I think of Technobabylon from Wadjet eye which was a really well designed and developed game. Or even the Amiga classic Beneath a Steel Sky from Revolution Software, this I thought was a classic and I loved playing this years back.
Neofeud from the start I was put off, the voice acting which is always the first thing that bothers me was subpar, some of the character voices where acceptable, others where laughable and this is always one of those things I struggle to get past. Then we get to the inventory interactions, when you try to use an item by dragging it onto a person for example, a box pops up for a split second telling you why or why not that is a bad idea, that split second is not long enough to read the text, this may well just be a glitch and may be fixed in the future. The animations I found to be a little poorly designed, and the graphics where very strange, now graphics on PNC games do not ever matter to me but when they are so oddly developed it does but I think this is just the developer trying to do something different and again I can't knock that. I wish the developer all the luck in the world moving forward and will keep an eye out for future releases, but unfortunately this is not for me and I can't recommend it from the points I raised.

Football Manager Finally Improved

After the same junk year on year, they have finally made some changes to this years Football Manager 2020 that make a difference. The graphics engine is still garbage yet very slightly improved (about 1% better). And we still have crap press conferences and such yet slightly better. The game offers alot more however and I think this is the best FM to date. With my 46gb graphics pack added that I have pain stakingly put together over many hours, this is a much improved version that I was happy to pay £13 for.

Short but quite well designed

As a massive point and click adventure fan and an owner of well over 90% of this genre from Steam, I picked this one up for £3.59 which isn't too bad of a price really. The game was well designed for a small development team and quite fun for a lover of old school P&C games. The game isn't perfect and was far too easy, very little challenge for an old hand with very simple puzzles throughout. The voice acting is good for the most part, one or two of the characters where voiced really poorly, but overlooking those voices, the rest are fine. The game design was well done and storyline was good enough for a new development team. I will look forward to see what other point and click games this developer releases in the future, because there is still alot right here, short game with just 4 hours of playtime, now usually that would be a negative review from me for the most part due to the small play time but this just about's gets a 7/10 from me. Worth a playthrough.
I do not use any guides, walkthroughs or help on any of my games, so my playtime on point and click adventures is solely from just me working out what to do, so 4.1 hours is how long this one took.

Classic Point & Click Adventure

Really enjoying this point and click adventure, with brilliant voice acting and a very funny story line up to the point I have played. Not far into this one as yet but I will certainly play this one through to the end as I normally do with PNC games. Massive lover of the genre and owning well over 90% of the PNC games on Steam, really enjoying this one so far, will update when it has been completed as usual.

Edit - Completed after 5 hours of game play with no guides or help. I do not use them because I am not a moron who cheats on games. Good voice acting throughout but far too short and far too easy. Score changed to a 6 / 10.

Brilliant Short VR Title

One of the first VR titles I show people when they want to experience what it's like to play in the virtual world. Brilliantly designed and well written, short puzzle type games with a bit of laughter thrown in. Very enjoyable experience and everytime someone tried this first they enjoy VR like they should. Very good title.
