So I picked this up from my favourite site (geetooaa) for a bargain 21pence and to be honest after finishing the first episode in 24 minutes I have to say that this is about the correct pricing for this game. I love point and click adventures and this game does get a couple of things right, the humour is good and the graphics for an old school pnc is passable. The inventory is quite rushed but still works and at least item combinations is included.
The problems I have with this game is quite simply the length of the episodes and more importantly the lack of movement. There is no movement in this game, only set screens with characters who stand in set positions and this completely ruins the game for me. First episode taking 24 minutes would mean at an estimate the 6 in total would take me around 2 hours 30 - 3 hours max, this is far too short for the price on Steam (Not that I pay Steams pricing because I am not a fool, I have 1790 games and none bought from Steam). I will finish this PNC style game and update the review, but a negative is all I can give to this poor and rushed effort.

So after playing this so far for 10 hours, here are my thoughts upto this point. Graphically the game is quite nice, the majority of the game is well designed and animations and such work quite fluidly for the most part.
I love the open world and the game reminds me alot of the Witcher 3, however I can't help but feel that this is a poor version of an open world game in comparison to the Witcher 3. With that being said the open world elements are very well put together and the game is very playable and suprisingly I quite like this game, this is my first and only Assassins Creed Game to date.
One really off putting element of the game is the computer AI, this is nothing short of horrific. I have played the game on the hardest setting and this doesn't change the AI one bit, you can run around a post and the computer AI loses you, even though they saw you run around that post. This really spoils alot of the game for me and makes it far too easy.
I think I will play this for some time yet and I am really not sure what final score i will give it, but some of the features such as the AI are so bad that I am going to struggle to give this game a positive review.

Got this garbage in the Humble Bundle monthly so thought I might as well give it a shot. The graphics are awful, completely terrible. Reminds me of a game that has been thrown together using some crappy software in a weekend. This is extremely poor, Do not waste your money on this complete and utter junk. Since the start of Steam, this would be up there with my top 5 worst games I have played to date, terrible.

I have had this in my library for quite some time now and I thought I would work through the backlog of point and click style games whilst I have some spare time. I have played the older Tex Murphy games in the past and although the graphics where poor, it never mattered much because of the release dates. However, this is a more recent game that was developed and the graphics are shoddy at best. These are some of the laziest graphics I have seen developed for a PC game since the start of Steam. The game seems to me like it has been thrown together in a rush, the acting although cheesy is not the worst I have seen though. The game tries to include some comedy which is simply not funny whatsoever, the package as a whole is just poor. Due to the complete lack of effort in this title I simply can't reccommend such a lazily developed game. Give this garbage a miss.

Some games just make me laugh, the fact that many developers will release a game using the English language without actually proofreading the language used within the development of the game. The grammar in this game is shocking, that alone would not put me off playing it though. What made me uninstall this terrible game was the awful animations. The character movement is some of the worst I have ever seen for this genre of game. If the development team or developer do not speak fluent English then get someone who does to play the game before releasing it to the general public, the animations however are so bad that the game needs a complete overhaul.
That being said, the graphics are not too bad really so I will give them that much. If you are looking to purchase this game I would simply pass, there are many decent games on Steam in this genre that are better. This game needed another 6 months+ before release, it is simply horrendously developed.

Let me start by saying I loved Shardlight, Primordia, Gemini Rue, Blackwell Series, and all of the others apart from Reasonance. I bought this as soon as I noticed it had released. The sound effects and voices are once again superb, the graphics again are really good for an old style point and click adventure. The performance again is great and the story seems pretty good from what I played within the 30 minutes I played it.

So why am I refunding this game?

- The text on the bottom of the screen when you look around takes up far too much space, for me this is a poor design choice.
- The inventory is poorly designed and when clicking on objects you get no options. For point and click adventures you need Look, open, use etc etc. This game has none of these, this takes away alot for me from this PNC game.
- The characters in the game speak and voice acting is great, but the character/characters you play do not. For me this completely removes the connection between the player and the character. Either you use text for all which is perfectly fine, or you use voices for all. There is no inbetween, this makes the game unplayable for me.
- When picking up objects you get a amateurishly designed piece of text to confirm that object is picked up.
- Your main character when clicking on any item on screen has no dialog at all, nothing. This is the biggest let down for this game.

So these points are quite small for some, and will be completely fine for most. I have been playing point and click adventures since the 1980's and I have well over 90% of them on Steam. These points may not be major problems, but they certainly impact my enjoyment and stop me from connecting to the main character within the game. I wish Wadjet Eye all the luck in the world, they are a fantastic small development team. This one is not for me I am afraid.

Edit - After playing a little more at a friends I have a quick update. This is far worse than I first thought. Infact this is the worst point and click adventure I have played on Steam in the 15 years I have been on Steam. My score is now being changed to fit the poorly developed game.

I have played the newer Sherlock holmes games and loved them, thought I would try one of the older ones in Sherlock Holmes Vs Jack the Ripper. I love PNC Style games and have most of them on Steam. The problem I have with this one which is making this game completely unplayble unfortunately for me are, the terrible animations such as walking into people and objects but even when coming to a stop the legs are still moving as if the character is walking, poorly designed voices with mouth movement which is miles off and a few smaller forgiveable bits. Now I understand this is an older Sherlock Holmes game, but I can not forgive for the complete lack of effort that has gone into these simple game features. I would love to see a remastered version of this game, in this state I can't play this game and certainly can't take the game serious.

As a massive point and click fan I had to try this game, I picked this up from a bundle and I have to say that I was quite pleasantly surprised. Don't get me wrong this isn't a world beater of a point and click game, and it does lack in many aspects, however it does keep the old school style point and click essense whilst adding that little bit more.
With this title you are getting a quite simple game which isn't really well written, but you do get a simple yet authentic storyline which keeps you interested enough to go back to. I am not yet finished with this title but I am on the final island, I would value this game really low (Less than 2 pounds GBP) but I think it is worth a playthrough. There are no voices in this game and this doesn't bother me whatsoever, it also doesn't take anything away from the title. I was brought up with the Spectrum and then Amiga, so games with just text was what I enjoyed most. The sound effects are fairly good and the graphics are fine for what this is. This gets a positive from me and anyone who loves PNC games I believe would enjoy playing this once.
