Loved the first one.. This is more of the same, in the absolutely best possible way. It's so familiar, and somehow relaxing and stimulating at the same time. This has everything from the first game and so much more. Absolute Gem.

Was a great game. It's gone downhill so far it isn't even worth it as a F2P game anymore.

I was a huge fan of the previous Ghost Recon titles and especially Future Soldier. I loved the slow tactical buildup and the quick change to fast-paced action to clean up any mess left behind by a missed sniper shot or when you get spotted while scouting the area.

Though it took me a while to pick up Wildlands, I am quite pleased with the game. The open world nature is fun and though there are quite a few repeated assets (buildings, layouts, etc.) there seem to be just enough unique situations and combinations of assets that each set of missions feels unique.

There are quite a few available weapons and I enjoy being able to modify them to my liking, but I have found that I use exactly 3 different primary weapons (one sniper, one AR, and one SMG) throughout my playthrough depending on the range i need...

Definitely worth picking up for 10 bucks or whatever it costs now... I picked up the ultimate or whatever for 29€ or sth and honestly wish I had just gotten the base game without the DLCs...

This is honestly one of the most enjoyable FPS series I have found in a while. I picked up the trilogy on sale a while back and recently loaded up the first game Metro 2033... I got hooked and played the whole thing, including getting 100% achievements in about a week and immediately moved on to the second installment, Metro Last Light.

Everything I loved about the Metro 2033 Redux has been improved upon, expanded upon, and made tighter and sharper in Metro Last Light Redux. The light stealth elements become more important and more fun. The weapons and weapon customization is more robust and the addition of new weapons like sniper rifles gives you more choices in how you want to play.

The story is deeper, more sinister, and more engaging. The maps are larger, more varied, and more exciting (albeit still a little too linear in some aspects).

I have blazed through the game and after roughly 30 hours I have gotten all of the main story achievements and am moving on to the DLCs next.

While I wouldn't say the this game stands up to modern FPS games, it IS one of the best last-gen games I have played and was a joy from start to finish. And I am super excited to play the next installment in the series, Metro Exodus, as soon as I finish.

So I first learned about the Metro series when it came to the Xbox gold pass or whatever a year or so ago... I downloaded it but never played it because I had other games in my queue. When I recently saw all three games on sale on Steam I decided to pick them up and since I had just finished another game and hadn't started anything else yet, I decided to fire up Metro 2033.

Even though it is a remake of a 10+ year old game and you can still tell where some of the aspects of the game are not up to today's standards, the game was a complete joy to play. The mix of light stealth with in-your-face monsters and action-packed fire fights made the combat dynamic and varied enough to stay enjoyable. The small amount of exploration that you could do gave some much needed depth to the at times painfully linear maps (though many games from the era were linear as well, so I can't really fault the game for this). The addition of light survival mechanics with the health packs and the gas mask filters added some fun depth to the post-apocalyptic vibe without being overwhelming, and the ability to modify weapons in towns made the small selection of guns feel surprisingly varied.

All in all, this is a great game with an very enjoyable story. The game included a lot of enjoyable systems in 'lite' versions such as stealth, survival, and weapon modification that adds just enough depth to gameplay to make this 'old-school' game still feel fun today.

As you move on to Metro: Last Light and Metro: Exodus, you will see these systems expanded upon, the story fleshed out, and the gameplay improved and modernized. If you haven't played Metro yet, this first installment is a great game and only takes about 25-35 hours to complete with 100% achievements as well.

And remember, If it's hostile, you kill it.

Early Access Review
One of my favorite finds recently. People compare it to a Borderlands roguelike, but it's nothing like that, other than having 'cartoony' graphics.

It is a deceptively simple-looking game, that doesn't try to do too much, but what it does do it does very well. The experience feels polished, well thought out, and fun. Though like all roguelikes it can be a bit repetitive, I always find myself coming back to play through a run or two every few days.

While it definitely won't be a 'main' game, it's a fantastic choice to add to your collection of secondary games.

Fun: 9/10
Originality: 7/10
Replayability: 8/10
Graphics: 8/10

Decent little game, worth picking up. Its all about building and exploring community-made maps which can be really fun, though there are some cheese maps where people simply put a billion easy monsters to farm XP.

Fun: 7/10
Uniqueness: 8/10 (for community tools)
Replayability: 7/10
Graphics: 6/10
