Yes, ATS is a great game, SCS actively updates it and engages with the community. If you enjoy a game where you can relax or even enjoy what there is in a game, this is a great option. The mod support is also great. Would recommend.

Alright, after a few years I have decided to update my review on this game. If steam allowed a middle ground instead of yes/no I would choose that. This game is just a 2009 game that is rebranded every year with 3 new DLCs that you have to buy the game to get those new DLCs.
Yes you buying this game now will ONLY and I mean ONLY give you these three DLCs for this year, when next year comes around you will have to pay the (USD~30) for those "new" DLCs again, the fact that they are still saying this is "new" and the marketing looks like that for anybody who isn't in the know for this 10 year old game is very shady. The what is it now, over $8000 on DLC is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. Now to be fair you do not at all need all of the DLC, However charging ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ~$40 PER ROUTE and not changing the price 3 years later, or charging ~$10-20 per loco/train/emu/dmu and not changing the price until the thing is 6 YEARS OLD is very shady if you ask me. Now you may say "Hey they need to make money don't they?" and you'd be right, its just when there is a %40-80 sale on the DLC during sale time, that proves to me that they have already paid off the creation cost and will milk the cow till the end of time.
Alright enough of the bad, now some good. If you like trains this is a fun game. There are good DLCs, some are worth the money, same with locomotives, and that's about it

Ah, the ICE 3, who hasn't heard of this train, i mean its iconic across the TS comunity, (even tho its not 100% accurate recration ill get back to that) It goes really fast, like 180 MPH/300 KPH, comes with the PZB and LZB signaling systems, and has afb thats baiscly crusie control
Now onto the the issue
The ICE 3 has more than just the PZB and LZB signaling system, it also has IRL KGB ATB ETCS TVM and Crocodile.
But besided the semi nessary signaling systems aside, I would give this loco a 7/10, however with anything dovetail, ALWAYS WAIT UNTIL A SALE

This is proably one of the best games I've have ever played/bought
The gameplay is nice, the ui is also great, but one problem that is mostly user error is the fact that I cant manage to make money, but persnal problems alside, this is well worth your money IF you enjoy managment/building games, ex City Skylines, OpenTTD ect, I believe you would enjoy this game
