Has potential, but the AI is terrible. Not terrible as in slow, but quite the opposite. They all take the same exact line and they are unmovable. Meanwhile you are just a punching bag on the track. You bump into an AI rider, they will always win. Get used to being pushed up high in the corners, continually wrecked, and just dealing with their BS.

Oh it doesn't help that they have magic gas in the corners. I don't think they slow down for them. So not only will they take you high in the corner, they also will blow you out of the water in terms of raw speed. The game doesn't accurately represent cornering a real bike at all. You give it any amount of gas half way through the corner and your rear end starts to break loose. If you get too low in a corner you crash. Problem is, you can't even use the berm to carry speed through because once again the AI will run you right off the track.

It's just incredibly frustrating.

I don't know where to begin on the game. It has so much potential, but it is completely half-baked. I bought the complete pack, and really regretting that. There are so many things that are just missing that previous titles had. But before we complain about that, here is what the game does well:
- Incredible Environments (especially the AMA Nationals)

But that is about it. I have only done MX as that is what I care for the most in these games, and the bike controls are hard to learn. Not only that, you cannot even map the controls different. You're forced to do the tutorial, and the overall "story" of the game feels like an NBA 2K rip-off (and it's much worse in story telling). Then within the story mode, it doesn't even tell you what bike class you are racing.

Speaking of bikes, there are no custom graphics for the DLC bikes. There are simply cosmetics (handle bars, suspension, sprocket, etc.), but you can't really change the color if you want brand name. Those cosmetics also don't do anything, you have to buy tuning packages separate. Rider customization is abysmal. There are maybe 20 gear sets, and you can't even change the color scheme like previous games. I think back to MXvATV Alive when we had Butt Patches, Neck Braces, Rider Perks, and incredibly amounts of customization, and it's all just missing.

Finally, I really enjoy time trials, but I have found out there are no leaderboards yet in the game. I am consistently in the top of the leaderboards in previous games and racing you all through lap times is fun for me. Well, I can't even do that. I'm not going to refund the game because I do see the potential, but at this time I cannot recommend it. I hope they have a lot planned for the game, but I honestly just see microtransactions from hell incoming.

What more could I ask for, it's probably in the game.

This game is a must by for any Star Wars fan. Let me start off by saying this game delivers a Star Wars epic that leaves you begging for more at the end. The story is fantastic, the relationships you build with the NPC's makes it realistic, and BD-1 is the best companion, possibly in gaming history.

With that being said, lets describe some gameplay. Depending on your difficulty selection, I would say this game is heavily inspired by the guys at FromSoftware, specifically Sekiro with a flavorful pinch of Souls. So many mechanics work surprisingly well in this. However, since their is a difficulty selector, the game isn't as brutal.

With that being said, their is some things I wish to improve on. First, I wish the game was longer, I didn't search every nook and cranny, but I also didn't rush. I clocked in just over 15 hours to beat it. This could have been a budget issue however, since EA has had a rocky history with Star Wars titles.

Things I loved:
*Combat System
*Imaginative ways to kill enemies
*Learning Curve

Thing I would like to see added:
*New Game +, Let me replay, remove all my temple force abilities, but let me keep customization, saber, and skill trees. Add More enemies, and increase their health.
*Arena Mode, Let me see how long I can last in an endless wave of enemies.

tldr; Fantastic Game, EA I WILL GIVE YOU MORE MONEY FOR A SECOND INSTALLMENT. 9.5/10

Here's my first impression review of the game:

This game is not anything like previously seen in the series. In my opinion its alreay leaps ahead of Supercross Encore but lacking everything that made Reflex a spectacular game. I'm not going to compare this game to the MXGP games or MX Simulator because MXvsATV games have always been in their own category.

The game at first handles "clunky". The controls and bike mechanics are straight forward but the menus and customization of parts seems confusing. I wish I could change more color pallets, perhaps I'm just stupid. But onto gameplay because I actualy don't care too much about customization.

I've so far only been able to play the outdoor tracks and they are lackluster at best. They have no memorable aspects to them like games past. I have favorite tracks from each of the series dating back to MX Unleasehd and I prefer outdoors over supercross. I've raced the first three tracks on the setlist and they all are just flat tracks. Not only are they unrealistcly wide, the terrain is all basic hills, lackluster jumps, and seems to be in a very simliar enviornment. I instantly found myself irritated that my bike and rider clip through the track barriers and banners, they serve no purpose but aesthetics at this current state.

I am currently unable to play supercross. I have my monitor brightness turned up completely and still the shadow of the stadium makes it too dark to see the tracks in some areas. Perhaps i'll have to go into the game files since there isn't an option in the video settings to turn up brightness.

This game does have a learning curve when it comes to bike/rider physics and I find myself frustrated learning a new system. I do however remeber when reflex first came out and I found myself in a similary frustrating scenario learning the reflex system for the first time, but I don't think this game will hold-up in terms of pay-off from learning such a new feature. Overall I reccommend this game due to the price point and the active community the devs seem to put out through social media. They seem concerned about the game and as long as the price point stays low and they don't cram DLC down my throat like previous titles I would reccommend it. But if you're new to the series Reflex is still the king.
