You can tell that this game is a game of love and labor. Sets the bar very high for similar games doing the same

It's such a shame that the 40k license is handed out to so many incompetant developers. I truly wished they held it on a tighter leash akin to Disney and Star Wars (BAD EXAMPLE BUT YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN.)

There are too many trash games taking advantage of the die-hard Warhammer Universe, I have fallen in love with the RTS and was hoping to delve deeper into the universe. This IP could've been great, with the correct mature audience sucking it all up, but again and again, poor games are released. This is just another dung pile game. Even on a sale, I can't help but feel disappointed. The little time I have put in has been the most boring gameplay I have ever sludged myself to go through, hoping there would be some fun, but alas, it was for naught.

Save your money and get another Warhammer/40k game or just something else in general. This game runs poorly, and it not very optimized. Even the enhanced edition does very litle to fix the underlying issues for me to want to invest precious time into a game.

Cannot recommend.

Bought this product to protest Valves malicious demands of removing products from their store page because they cannot agree with its content. Yet many, MANY people have found enjoyment of this game. Valve continues to allows awful and low quality games constantly and wildly roam the Steam Store. It is diluting their once quality library with stinkin' garbage. Personally, dating sims are awful "games." However, someone spent hard hours putting this together, and there is certainly quality to be found in this game. So this beer is on my homeboy(s) who put this together, and the homegirls who voiced the characters.

Please stop releasing ♥♥♥♥♥♥ games on Steam, and removing sexual content off the store. Without sex, none of us would bloody be here!

~Eve Online: The Meatgrinder Simulator~

Eve Online is notioursly hard for new comers. In an era where Cuphead and Dark Souls are generally enjoyed by some sadistic machoists, this game rips out almost all chances of single-player enjoyment and forces you to play with others in order to get some real enjoyment. The learning curve, is more akin to learning to conduct brain surgery for fun. It'll take years before you're truly successful, but chances are you're gonna mess up, and mess up a lot. Considering that the more time you sink into the game, the better you get, the longer you allow this game to pass you, the harder it will become, as other players become more skillfull, and powerful. Albiet, everything in the game comes down to who is behind the computer screen. There are many microtransactions in the game, some even allowing your character to "level up" faster, but unless you know what you are doing, you're not going to get any more successfull. This game is for Edison or Tesla level players. Either you learn by trial and error *Edison* or study your ass off to get some enjoyment out of it *Tesla.*

Either way, this game demands patience and time. However, it is a huge payoff. This game can definitely have a lot of fun for those who like intense fights, and love strategy. As this game requires a lot of intelligence to truly enjoy. The pay off of accomplishing here is nothing that can be found anywhere else. The gigantic space fights, and losing it all, only to gain somewhere else is the enjoyment in the game. The spaceships in the game are also very cool, and I love collecting and looking at the pretty models.

However, this game is a huge time sink. If you're looking for a gem that requires a lot of TLC, this is gonna be the peanut to your butter. This game will suck up your life, look at my hours played. That's only the hours logged since I started playing through Steam in Febuary of 2016. I still feel like I don't know anything about this game, and still lose 90% of my engagements against other players. Nontheless, I still have a blast getting blasted to bits.

Thankfully, CCP is releasing an update this summer that is more oriented towards single players via "instanced dungeons." Which I hope will breath some new life to the game.

Also, this game has an amazing Economy. I find myself spending more time in Jita, buying and selling as I have made billions more isk (ingame currency) buying low and selling high, manufactuiring ammo, ships and modules than I have ever done playing this game on and off for the last 8 years.

I suggest everyone gives it a try at least once. Definitely isn't for everyone unless you approach it with the right mentality and expectations. If anything, look at how beautiful this game is.

TLDR:

Good:
Economy
Diffuclty
MMO
RPG
HUUUUUUUUGE
Lots of ships
Best PvP game of all time

Bad:
Difficult to get started
unforgiving
time consuming

~Crysis: First it's sweet then it's sour. ~
***MAY CONTAIN SLIGHT SPOILERS***
(Playing on an i-3470 + 750 Ti)

I bought Crysis 1, Warhead, and 2 Maximum Edition on a packaged sale for 75% off. I am basing my opinion on these games based on value recieved. I am entitled to my own opinion, and if you disagree, I don't care, but you're entitled to an opinion too. I am currently going to play through the entire series, from start to finish. Check out my other reviews regarding this series.

I jumped into this game right after watching some videos regarding the technical prowess this game had achieved. Of course, any gamer whom has spent any time playing PC games has heard of the term "But can it run Crysis?"

The question, how fast can you run FROM the Original Crysis?

Crysis 1 follows the story of Nomad, and his Raptor Team, as they airdrop onto a remote island looking for researchers whom had activated a distress beacon, but it isn't 60 seconds into the mission before something goes terribly wrong. Thing aren't what they seem, and this regular covert ops missions quicky starts escalating as more ♥♥♥♥ starts flying into the fan. I mean, lots of ♥♥♥♥, it's a wonder how the fan is still even spinning. It's like that scene from Daddy Daycare where he walks into the bathroom and is blown away by the mess infront of his eyes.

The story is very over the top, but not to the point where it takes away from the immersion. However, don't expect any lovable or memorable characters like Master Chief, Samus, or any other character for that matter. This game is remembered for its graphical fidelity above all else, and that is for a good reason, as everything else is like a soup. The broth is quite freakin' amazing, but the other ingrediantes that makes it a soup are almost subpar, unmemorable, and sometimes quite bland. But since the soup and the broth are so entertwined, it is easy to overlook the downfalls of the game. It's to the point where it frustrated me that the broth is so damn good, but simply cannot make up for the rest of its lacklsuster parts.

Gameplay is quite fun, its 2007, so FPS reigned king in this era. Crysis also gave you the ability to customize your weapons on the fly and your approach to situations. However, some situations were simply easier done one way rather than another, making the whole open world, seem less open ended. Plus the game is very linear, go here, then here, do this, defend that, survive this wave, then fight off the next. There are moments where certain center pieces are quite awesome, and grabs your natural human curiosity to wanna know more, but the game literally doesn't bother delving more into the Sci-Fi aspect, which is a huge miss. This game lacks a good, cohesive and filling story, Again, the soup.

I definitely found myself using some modes of the suit a lot more than the others. I almost never used strength mode, as the jumping mechanics were janky at best. Unless you were running full sprint, and had no obsticles, it was hard to manuver Nomad midair, and found myself waiting for my suit to charge to get another shot at a jump on a few occasions. Plus the bonus for aim wasn't that helpful. More on that later. The controls were a bit awkard for keyboard and mouse, I ended up swapping some controls around. First i swapped the weapon and suit customization options between eachother, as for some reason, if I used my center mouse button, the Console Command would pop up, and all input into the game was taken away and directed into the input for the Console Command window. Which was a huge ♥♥♥♥ softener when you we're balls deep in action, and needed to swap your approach. Pushing "Z" toggled prone, right clicking toggled zoom, but pushing ALT crouched, but wasn't a toggle. You'd stand the frick back up right after letting go. I looked into the options to change that up, but I ended up resolving the awkward finger banger with Razer Synapse and swapping the left CTRL and ALT buttons. You also push "i" for night vision, which is a far reach from your left hand, and either required you to sacrifice physical or visual movement to activate.

Thankfully, nightvision is complete ♥♥♥♥, so you won't ever use it. During a couple segements, the game does recommend to use night vision, but I went ahead and ignored it. Strength mode was also rather useless, again the aim bonus didn't really come in handy enough for me to jeprodize jumping to that from stealth or defense mode. Speed mode is pretty dope, but overall Nomad is way too soft to take too many hits, and I almost alway stayed in defense mode. Stealth is cool, but enemies spot you way too easily, and take way too many bullets to kill. They felt collectively tougher than I did almost a majotity of the game. Which is actually something that is fixed in Crysis: Warhead. Enemy vehicles take way too much damage to destroy unless you're the one in them. I don't know how many times I was BS killed by something. Touch a fire? Dead. Run across a rope bridge too fast? Stubs toe against a plank and is instakilled. Walk outside and an enemy alien happens to crash land on you? Too bad, dead. Becareful with the shotgun, on several occasions I blasted an enemy only for his body to bounce off a wall and hit me, causing my death. A helicpoter continued to fire missles after blowing me up. Enemy helicopters take TWO SHOTS from a tank to destroy, and 2 rockets can do 50% damage to your tank if its a direct hit. Enemy tanks require 5 shots to be destroyed if your comandeer a Korean tank, and you only have 30 rounds. Being crushed to death by flimsy aluminum cover is pretty constant. If you drive you vehicle into a fire, or don't land on all 4 tires, is almost a guranteed death.

Graphically, the game is something to write about, but that's something everyone already knows a this point. Lighting, flora, wildlife, flares bubbling up underwater, oil spilling out of canisters. All that is great, but the game runs terribly. I was lucky to get to one checkpoint to the next without the game crashing on me once. At somepoint the game I had taken a break from the game, only to come back and find that it simply would not launch. It evenutally did, without me really doing anything. I kinda wish it hadn't because I ended putting hours into this game I will never get back.

I can go on and on about how bad this game really is, but I am not as this game has taken up enough of my time... I have never been so happy to see the credits roll on a game.

The Good:
Beautiful, even 11 years later.
Cool suit
Weapon Customization
Somewhat cool setting
Short (Couldn't wait for this game to be over)

Bad:
Janky Controls
Bad checkpoints
Easy deaths
Glitchy mess
Confusing mission objectives
Crashes a lot
Meh story
No memorable set pieces, or "WOW" moments.
Frustrating

TLDR:

Unless you're trying to play the Crysis series in it's entirety, please play something else. As this game will leave a bad taste in your mouth for the rest of the series. And there are many better games out there that takes what this game tried achieving and simply accomplishes them better. It felt a lot like a precursor to MGS:TPP, and I know that is a pretty bad comparison, considering one game is a lot newer than the other. However, Crysis is simply a bad Christmas present that was beautiful wrapped, and by New Years, you don't want anything to do with it. Most of my time spent in this game was reloading over and over from crashes/ or stupid deaths.

~Crysis Warhead: First it's sour then its sweet. ~

(Playing on an i3 + 750 Ti)

I bought Crysis 1, Warhead, and 2 Maximum Edition on a packaged sale for 75% off. I am basing my opinion on these games based on value recieved. I am entitled to my own opinion, and if you disagree, I don't care, but you're entitled too. I am currently going to play through the entire series, from start to finish. Check out my other reviews regarding this series. I jumped into this game right after playing the original Crysis, which I had hated.

This game follows the story of Psycho, a comrade of Profit, Aztec, and Nomad. Nomad is the main protagonist in Crysis 1. It fills in some of Psycho's backstory. Where he is on the same island while Nomad is assigned to other missions. Psycho is a tough British soldier, who follows the rules of combat, at least for the most part. He does ignore direct orders in order to save a comrade, yet refused to kill an unarmed Korean soldier. The story is alright for what it is, you do ALMOST grow to care for Psycho, but unless you play the first one before hand, you won't really know what is going on for majority of the story. The game also does a pretty poor job at getting you to care for Psycho, again unless you play the original. Which I would only recommend if you intend to play the entire series. As the first one is honestly garbage.

The game on the bottom right hand corner has text that states "Sykes Mod." I am assumning this game is build off some mod of somesort, and was released back to the general public. (Dark Souls Remastered anyone?) Which was interesting, at first I thought Sykes mod was possibly some modification Psycho's suit had received allowing his suit to have a different voice, and HUD. However during the death sequences, the "Sykes Mod" text did not fade like the rest of the HUD, making me assume it is almost a constant reminder that this game was slightly modified for this release. Which I am not complaining, or praising, simply making note.

Whatever was done to the games internal workings was something I subtly noticed, but greatly appreciated. The game was a helluva lot more stable than the orignal Crysis. I didn't run into any annoying clipping, glitching, or falling through the ground. Nor did it crash on me a single time. Enemies didn't fly across the map, and objectives were much more clear for the most part. Enemies felt like they took the appropriate amount of damage to expire, and vehicles felt a lot more flimsy, for yourself and the enemies, which I greatly appreciated.

There was a little more variety in weapons, and even the weapons had some camo, or frost on them which definitely was a nice touch to the game. I found myself using the SMG's a lot, which I loved. There was a lot more SCAR ammo to be found, so you aren't forced to used the Korean's rifle as often. Which kinda took away from the whole SPEC OPS feel. There is also mines, and claymores, which wouldv'e made more sense in C1 rather than here. As that game definitely was more stealth oriented. I only had a few chances to use the mines when I ran out of rockets, and used the C4 Battlefield fashioned, where I strapped my vehicle in C4 and driving it into an enemy tank. Only to switch to speed mode, and watch both vehicles go up in flame. Also some vehicles sport a different turret. Explosive rounds perhaps? It made short work of enemies, and their forifications. It was awesome watching enemy tires blow off, and the physics engine cause some of the vehicles take off after an enemey transport would run over an explosive round at the right time, flip and go up in flame. Just don't expect anything mind blowing. But the touch is always nice.

There was a particular cutscene that had almost no voice acting, and it was borderline awkward, as Psycho didn't really show any more emotion than his hardass grin can conjure up. It's hilarious just thinking back on it. However, I can't really blame the guy, as the person he was upset over, wasn't even anyone besides "Marine." Whom was a throw away character. Which again brings me to the point that the story only matters if you had played the original, and wish to follow the series. You won't get attatched to anyone except maybe O'Neil, which isn't even a playable character and was probably the most interesting chracter in game. The game felt like it had more substance coming from O'Neil thanks to some background dialogue, and cutscenes which didn't actually feature any visuals. So it was hard to follow for a moment, unless you understand Military Lingo.

Good:
Beautiful, even 11 years later.
Stability
Backstory
New Weapons
New Vehicles
Lots of explosions
More Run-and-Gun Gameplay
Balanced enemy health
Run energy seemed to drain slightly slower.
Cheap

Bad:
Few cheesy deaths
Some bad checkpoint placements
Cheesy Cut scenes
Bland story telling
Short Game

TLDR:
Overall, I would only recommend this game on a sale, and if you are planning to play all of the Crysis games in its entirety, as this will fill some story, but honestly, only if you're really looking to delve completely into the series... Otherwise, go ahead and play something else more enjoyable. After playing the Original Crysis, I was really burnt out, and did not want to play anymore of that awful mess. This game tookout most of what I didn't like on the orignal, and left me enjoying the gameplay a lot more. It feels more of a lil' cashgrab. Crytek is notiourisly greedy, and I tend to stay away from developer and publishers whom show little to no respect for their fans/consumers.

Get it if you want more Crysis.
Pass on it if you want anything else.

This game in fun, but not memerable, and the extra mediumness of the game makes it hard to really recommend this game. But without any blatant reasons not to, I would say, if you saw this game years ago at Wal-Mart or Target, it was probably your first view of the "next-gen" consoles of the time. I played the demo so many times, I still have vivid memory if my neck hurting from the awkward angle of the television and my short 12 year old stature. I bought it to finally satisfy that curiousity. Was it worth it? Nah, but your milage will vary. Hopefully you'll get more out of this game than I did.

It is an older title from the beginning of the PS3/Xbox 360 era. If you have ever played the first "Resistance" for the PS3, you kinda know what to expect here; a seemingly half-baked game, with interesting lore, story, and ideas. However, it didn't feel next-gen at all. The feel I was getting was a PS2 port. The game didn't feel like it was built from the ground up for the PS3. It lacks the complexity and completion of a AAA title game, but some people have a hard on for games that are good, but not great. This might be one of those games. I personally didn't enjoy the game, I only forced myself to beat it cause it was too late for a refund, and momma didn't raise no b*tch. Would I recommend this game? Probably not, it wasn't my cup of tea. But there is no real reason for me to like this game.

Pros:
Low Requirements
Decent graphics
ok time waster, and library buffer when it is on sale.
Single player (multiplayer has been shut down)
Controller Support
1080p/ Lots of display/game options
Credits

EASY? Make up your own mind on whether this is a con or a pro.

Cons:
Terribly bad voice acting.
Over-the-top Japanese styled writing. Some people are into that. It's much too dramatic and unrealistic here. It's almost as the writers were trying to force the player to care for the bland characters, and loose dialogues.
Some segments are very poorly designed, you will have a frustrating time with certain segments.
Those who are lactose intolerant will have a hard time especially. Segments of this game will require cheesing.
Random difficulty spikes.
Some bosses will be nearly impossible with some Vital Suits, other Vital Suits will steam-roll bosses.
End boss was entirely stupid, the mechanics were not found anywhere else in the game. Very difficult to figure out on your own, but if you're lucky to do so, you can basically cheese, and not realize the you beat the game.

This is the only game I have ever played where the credits rolling was more satisfying than the last boss fight, and almost the whole entire game.

insanely addicting, and fun rpg. If you like Rogue-Like games, and Dragon Quest style battles, with strategy mixed in there, this is your game. The art style is amazing, and the game itself is hilarious. My only issue with the game is that I am terrible at it!

A fun game, for just about everyone. It is a bit shallow, I wish there was more to do in terms of grinding, rather than chasing high scores. However, if you like things like that, then you will have no issue here. This is a game, even a player who doesn't enjoy "endless runners" (ie COD Zombies, Temple Run, etc.) Where you can just turn on and have fun with. Controller or M&Kb works fine. However, the controller is definitely the way to go to fully enjoy the game. As there isn't many buttons you can push anyways. Most buttons are not mapped to any single key. It is a twin stick shooter. If you never have played one, you simply play by aiming with the right analog, moving with the left, with a various combo of other buttons.

This game is relatively short. It took me about 6 hours to complete. However, this does not make the game a breeze. I played the campain mostly during single player. This game is a kick ass party game, to get people together playing something. You don't have to be super good to have fun. The levels are not randomlly generated, and neither are the bosses. If you play enough, you will begin to memorize spawns. I assume playing the entire campain would be faster with more players. Please dont get this game looking for a bangin' single player. The story is a one and done. Nothing really awesome, unless you get into the characters and story. Which isn't bad either. The game does get progressively harder and harder, and as you unlock new unlockable characters, and play older levels, you will see how much better you got without even noticing! Through and through this game will make you feel good. Good fun, good story, good price, a underrated game that deserves a place is most Steam Owner's Libraries. The better the sale the better the feels.

TLDR;

Pros:
Low PC requirements
Controller Support
Unlockable Characters
Mulitple Mode Types
Great Music
InCrEdIblE Maps, there are some really great ideas here.
Kid Friendly

Cons:
Kinda a shallow game, can't really see anyone playing this for more than 50 hours single player.
Not recommended for single players
Fun, but still feels a little lacking
Not enough water

I highly recommend this game, try it if you can. I really wish there was online matchmaking, but a sequel would be better!

Cheers :)
