I don't have too much to say. If you like shooters that have even a LITTLE speed to them, buy this game. This game is pure adrenaline, as well a testosterone. This game, even at base difficulty, will demand the ultimate reflex and coordination skills. Despite that, this game is easy to learn.... easy to master. You can easily get pretty much everything you need to know recorded to muscle memory by the second stage.

Though a lot of people seem to dislike the platforming, I personally think that it's extremely satisfying to leap from wall to wall, and swing from monkey bars, only to land right back into the action

The multiplayer is nothing to ABSOLUTELY write home about, but it's still an incredibly fun time. If the slayer knows what they're doing. they will shred, so be warned. Also, the community is ironically super chill and nice, so there is an extremely low chance you'll find a player that makes you want to quit the match from personality alone. Also, you will need to have a Bethesda.net account to access this mode. You can play the campaign, but not battlemode. You will also need one to claim twitch prime rewards.

The graphics are something to behold. Not only do the environments and models have the triple A sheen you paid for, not once did the game stutter or buffer for me. Almost any modern computer can run this game with at least average performance. Also, if you happen to have a nasa supercomputer (or a high specs one, duh), you can run this game at up to 1000fps. Good luck with that.

If I had to make any complaints about this game, I would have to say:

The purple goo does not belong in this game. It restricts nearly all movement and it makes levels longer than they have to be. Also, in certain levels, they sick enemies on you that really need mobility to dodge.

The water physics can be a pain. The swimming itself is fine, if a tad slow, but trying to escape the surface is another thing. If you fall into a toxic pool, instead of just jumping out like a normal game, you have to find a wall to latch onto or find a ledge to climb up on. I lost a life or two there.

The in-ground tentacles aren't difficult to deal with, but they feel out of place in this game. They are the only enemies that stay in one place and hide. These tentacle segments are fine, but I would had rather had another full combat section in their places.

Also, one last thing: if you were thinking about buying the og DOOM 1 & 2, and weren't going to link them to bethesda.net, don't. You can play them for free within this game. In the fortress of DOOM, there is a old school computer in Doomguy's mancave. To unlock doom 1, you need to collect all the cheat discs (modifiers for previously beaten levels), and for doom 2, you simply need to input the code "flynntaggart". If you want the goodies from linking these games to bethesda.net, go ahead.
