developers really hit the mark on the title with this one, GTFO of the game.

The rootkit is beyond necessary as an anti-cheat, cant recommend this game until they remove that.
Also at the time of writing this their servers are constantly bogged down and impossible to connect to, it used to be at peak times but I can't remember the last time I was able to successfully login even on a regular weekday to actually play the game, so until that's also fixed the game is literally unplayable.

This review is under investigation for treason.

Aaaaand were back. Sony recently had required that all accounts be linked to a PSN account in order to fully access the game, which is utterly ridiculous. Originally I was frustrated purely because of the fact they had a root level "anti-cheat", which already imo is ridiculous overkill and basically a virus on steroids. This, coupled with the fact that Sony is KNOWN to be hacked on a routine basis has me very concerned to say the least.

I had honestly foregone some of those underlying concerns with how enjoyable this game is, It's extremely fun even with the quirks, It's a game that I was able to enjoy with friends that normally prefer different genres, or seldom play games in the first place.

From what I understand too, PSN is region locked to certain individuals who are now dead in the water, unable to access something they spent $40 on and have put too many hours into on Steam to be able to refund. What a joke.

Something is very wrong with individuals in the modern gaming industry. Battlestate Games recently pulled something somewhat similar, with Tarkov they spent years building a community only to rip their heart out by putting their supporters in the dirt with their most recent "DLC" that is required to be separately purchased for a whopping $250, you can read more about it online but It's a complete sham.

It's sad to think, after all we've been through boys, we lost to our biggest threat: Corporations. Managed Democracy is in shambles, and I don't think we'll be getting a major order to combat this threat.

Democracy has prevailed. Though, we must never forget this act of tyranny, watch out for any other shenanigans Sony might pull.
