The cover system is pretty much if not exactly the same, but improved here and there, biggest thing you might notice is that you can now take heavy cover behind tanks, maybe you could in the last game but it wasn't displayed as cover.

The campaign is pretty bad, mostly cause the history guys over at relic got no idea what they're talking about when it comes to the soviet union, quite awful actually.

I love this more than CoH1 mostly cause i own it now, if you don't own this and wouldn't mind a little graphical downgrade i would recommend getting the first Company of Heroes with the dlc (no need for Tales of Valor, except if you want some story elements)

So, if you want a very good looking rts, get this.
DLC is there if you need some more action than there already is.
