Take all the best things about the Horizon games and all the best things about the previous Lego games... and throw them out the window to leave behind this.

Levels are way too short, there's no real exploration, no puzzles of any kind, nothing to really collect, even when I raised the difficulty on starting a game it was pretty trivial in combat... And I am about half way done the sacred lands at this point.

Collecting the mini figures was something that took effort before, they're gone. Red bricks, gone. Getting enough studs in each level to earn rewards, gone. And also if you get a gold brick at the end of every level, and that's the only way to get them, they are just a progress marker not what they always were before.

Railgun, are you serious? Collecting packages in GTA 3 was something everyone did. And puzzles are not a positive, what? There are entire genres of games just around solving puzzles, so ya, people like doing that in games.

Sounds like just don't play many video games if you think Zelda dungeons are the only place puzzles and collectibles can be fun.

NecxGen, true, they don't have to conform to the TT formula, but the TT formula sets the bar that this game doesn't even come close to reaching, let alone clearing. Maybe I would feel differently about this game if not for the catalogue of TT lego games that came before, but they exist and they give something to compare this to and find it lacking.

While I understand the criticism, I don't think every Lego game has to conform the Traveller's Tale formula of how to make a Lego game. Especially one being made by a different studio entirely. This game is definitely not worth the full price, but I'd also argue that not all TT Lego games are worth their full price tag either

Railgun has never played a lego game before

Railgun, if you've played any form of Lego game, Batman, Indiana Jones, Star wars, all of them have puzzles, collectables and exploration. It's what made them good on top of the rewrites that made things kid friendly and funny.

First time I hear someone referring to "puzzles" and "collectables" as positives in a video game (with maybe the exception of Zelda dungeons). That's a first for me
