Man, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has completely sucked me in. The story is just top-tier—I’m fully invested in what’s happening, the characters feel real, and the world is so well done that I can’t get enough of it. Every conversation and quest keeps me hooked, and it’s been a long time since a game’s story grabbed me like this.

Combat-wise, it’s solid—about an 8/10 for me. It’s still got that slower, more realistic style, which takes some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it’s super satisfying. Sword fights feel intense, and the game really makes you think before just swinging wildly. Not perfect, but definitely enjoyable.

But where this game really shines is immersion—easily a 10/10. Everything feels authentic. The world isn’t just a backdrop; it’s alive. You’re not some invincible hero—you have to prepare for fights, eat to keep your strength up, and take care of your gear, or you’ll feel the consequences. It all adds up to an experience that completely pulls you in. I haven’t lost myself in a game like this since Skyrim, and that’s saying something.

Performance-wise, it’s actually been decent on my rig (RTX 3070, i5-12600K, 32GB RAM). I get around 60-80 FPS on a mix of medium and ultra settings with DLSS on, which is totally playable. There are a few dips here and there, but nothing that’s really taken me out of the experience. Considering how detailed the world is, I’d say the performance is pretty solid.

The soundtrack? From what I heard, it’s great. The music fits the setting and adds to the atmosphere, but I usually turn off soundtracks in games like this because I like to stay fully immersed. There’s something about just hearing the natural sounds of the world—the clanking of armor, the distant chatter, the wind through the trees—that makes it all feel even more real.

At this point, I don’t even care what other games come out this year—this is already my Game of the Year.

I played the original Caravaneer on Newgrounds when I was a kid, and I was thrilled to discover that there's a sequel available on Steam. It feels like it builds on everything that made the first game great, expanding the experience in all the right ways. I can’t wait to dive deeper into this game! If you were a fan of the original, I highly recommend picking this up. And if you’re new to it, imagine a Caravan simulator set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. If you enjoy turn-based combat, economic simulators, and party management games, this one will likely be up your alley. Just keep in mind, it's quite challenging and takes some time to get the hang of.

Honestly, I'm deeply in love with the game despite its current state. I acknowledge its bugs, performance hiccups, and occasional lag, but given its early access/Alpha status, I anticipated these quirks.

While my system occasionally struggles, I typically maintain a solid 60 FPS, with occasional exceptions. My specs are GTX 3070, i5-12600k, 32GB DDR4, running at 1440p with DLSS on and graphics set to High (the disparity between low and epic graphics isn't particularly staggering, so you can probably set it to low). With FSR, I was averaging 80-110 FPS with settings ranging from low to high at 1440p, though FSR tended to crash upon leaving the base or boarding the helicopter. Since switching to DLSS, crashes have ceased.

Despite ongoing adjustments to my settings, I anticipate significant improvement over time. At its current stage, I'd recommend the game solely to those committed to supporting its development and willing to endure present and future issues. For those seeking a polished tactical shooter experience, I'd suggest waiting a few months. Expect crashes, game-breaking bugs, and potential losses of progress due to server issues, but rest assured, I'm invested in witnessing the game's evolution.

A friend gifted me this for my upcoming birthday and I'm already in love with this game. Other than the performance issues, I've had absolutely no problems at all. The combat is amazing and responsive. So far the exploration is fun and engaging, while the story is easy to follow. It leaves me wanting to know more about the characters involved and how they tie into it.

As a Kickstarter I might be biased, but I've seen the progress this game has made over the years and I gotta say. This game has come a long way and I have full confidence the game will continue to improve. With that being said the game as it is right now is still a solid product IMHO.
