This is a very simple game, also extremely easy, and it centers around fetch quests. If you like that, you might like this game. For the base steam price of $15 I had an ok enough time, but honestly it's not so good I wouldn't wait for a sale if you want to try it.

For me it was the sort of game where I played it while listening to something else, the game couldn't actually hold my full attention, but I still enjoyed it well enough to recommend it.

The Pros: The core gameplay, the combat and dungeon exploration, is mostly fun

The Cons: The characters are dull or annoying and the story is mediocre, also backtracking can be a major pain.

More Details
The core combat is focused on timed hits and timed defenses, but when an enemy begins to use an ability 'locks' will show up, each lock corresponding to an element (Slashing, Blunt, Sun, Moon, etc.). For each lock you break the ability (usually) becomes weaker, and if you break all of them the ability is cancelled outright. In general this is fun, but sometimes, especially late-game, there are abilities that are simply impossible to stop and don't even weaken if you break some of the locks, which is very annoying.

For the most part the exploration of dungeons is fun, if you hit the Map button you can see how many treasures are still in the map you're on so you know if you've found all of them, though sometimes certain chests require backtracking which is very annoying, going through a dungeon and a town just to get to the dungeon you want to go back to. Also the overall movement of the characters feels slow, especially in the overworld.

Overall I liked the game enough to do all the sidequests and whatnot and reach the true ending, except the wheels minigame, I hate the wheels minigame.

An absolute gem of a game. I enjoyed the story, the characters, the worldbuilding, and especially the gameplay. 10/10. My only problem with it is that it's a bit too easy, though I was only playing on the default difficulty settings and was too much of a coward to turn up the difficulty.

One thing I will say I loved was that status effects were actually useful, even on bosses, a rarity in games.

While it's intended to be an homage to older games (mostly Final Fantasy X and Chrono Trigger) it fails to live up to these games. A decent combat system is bogged down by an annoying system of learning and using skills.

As well, after a certain point bosses started one shotting weaker characters from full health even though I went out of my way to fight every enemy, this ends up requiring luck to beat or just grinding. One boss could double-cast and one shot even my tankiest party member if I was unlucky, then I got really unlucky and he used an AoE twice in one turn that one shot two characters from full health.

The later difficulty is un-fun and I only beat the game just because I didn't want to feel like I lost to it. I regret purchasing this game because with unfun combat there's also a boring, predictable story (I kept waiting for a plot twist but none ever came that I didn't predict, and I'm usually pretty bad at such things).

A fun little RPGMaker game, no random encounters and a decent combat system combined with enjoyable characters and a good story.

At first I didn't like the game but after giving it more of a try thanks to my friend's prodding I've come to enjoy it quite a bit! The class and weapon selection is nice and I like the varied objectives. At first I'd only play with friends but now half of my playtime is solo. I especially like playing while listening to youtube videos or podcasts.

A fun 5e based game, I've only played through the main campaign but that was enough for me to enjoy what I paid for it. It's more simplified and missing a lot of options, but in the end it was fun enough for me to beat. I'll be playing through the side campaigns in the future.

I dislike the 'split into three mechanic' and some of the RNG that comes with Reverie Corridor but aside from that I still enjoyed the game, though I'd put it as my second least favorite in the series after Sky 3rd.

This one heavily relies on knowing both the plot from Zero and Azure, as well as the Cold Steel games, so I wouldn't play it unless you've played those first.

It's a fun little idle game. Scratches my MMO 'numbers must go bigger' itch without requiring a ton of dedication.

Simple, but fun, and hard to beat the price.
