Game is not pay-to-win. If you choose the path pay-to-win, then you will have to invest considerably large amount of money since weapons, weapon parts, vehicles and tanks are first needed to be unlocked in ribbon progressions. You have to grind your way up to get higher tier items which can sometimes be painful. IMO you better not to worry about getting higher tier items. You start with an infantryman with a semi-automatic rifle for each faction. This rifle itself is very lethal - 3 hits to kill anyone without heavy set badge equiped.You can make it 2-hit-kill by upgrading the ammo type. The next best thing to do is upgrading the trigger and internal spring to make the rate of fire higher. That's all you need to be a killing machine in the battlefield and it only takes a little bit of grinding. If you are to grind for a weapon, go for Assualt riffles.

SU - AVS-36(best weapon no doubt, aim at body and tap fire - always ends up with headshots because of recoil), PPSh-41(72 bullet drum magazine), PTRD 1941(2-hit-kill jeeps/trucks, 1-hit-kill any personal even with heavyset gold, but has a slow reload time)
US - M1/M2 Carbine(Highest rof among ARs, works ok with a scope) , Johnson M1941(hip-fire laser accuracy), Thomson M1A1(highest rof among sub machine guns), M1918(loudest weapon in game), M1919(high rof and good accuracy, less noise)


Fighter planes and Heavy fighter planes have higher repair costs

SU - Yak-9 (best fighter plane in game)
US - P-40N (worst fighter plane in game), P-38(best heavy fighter plane in game)


First tier light tanks have lower repair costs than a motorbike. Each infantry kill from a 1st tier light tank contribute to Armor Assault ribbon which makes them ideal to grind other tanks.

SU is concidered to have the weakest tanks in game.

GE - Pz II Ausf. L (Luchs)(fastest light tank with auto cannon, ideal for an offensive playstyle), Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer(mounted remote controlled machine gun can be used to deal with anti-tank infantry),, Pz Panther Ausf.G(best medium tank in-game), Pz VI Tiger II(best heavy tank in game)
SU - T-38 Model 1937(Only amphibius tank in game, can be used to flank)
US - M24 Chaffee(Biggest cannon for a light tank), M18 Hellcat(fastest tank in game)


Because of these imbalances, sometimes your gameplay will be fustrating. Here are some examples of such situations.
Fighting with enemy recons or tanks camping.
Fighting as a US/SU paratrooper against GE paratroopers.
Fighting for US with enemy Fighter planes.
Fighting for GE/SU with enemy Heavy Fighter Planes.
Fighting as a tanker against a Chaffe camping on the edge of the map.

Eventhough there are such frustrating situations, gameplay overall is quite enjoyable speacially if you team up with a clan.


Game needs at least a medium graphics card to get good framerate.
AMD Radeon R5 M315 gives me around 30fps at the lowest graphics settings.

A good internet connection is needed since the game doesn't have lots of servers outside of Europe.

Ping with a Fiber Fttx line - ~ 70ms
