Wait, people actually like this game? IMO, it's nothing but a crappy shooter with poor visibility and an even poorer tutorial. I never felt like I understood what I was doing, and it felt like a far cry from what people often describe as "making you feel absolutely unstoppable".

I felt like I was just going through the motions in a game I didn't understand hoping that it would all come together soon.

That being said: this game is very likely a good game. But it's not the kind of game that makes me feel like a badass alien slayer -- just one that makes me feel absolutely ♥♥♥♥ at videogames because I couldn't understand it on the lowest difficulty level.

If you're willing to put in the time to understand the mechanics, I'd bet this game would be a ton of fun. I'm just not in that position right now.

The playstyle of Doom Eternal has become more demanding in comparison to its predecessor. It is certainly more chaotic and fast paced and now aims to challenge players in making important decisions during combat.

Situational awareness of when you will need more ammo and how to prioritize enemies knowing that resource management is now an element to survival should be a ticking reminder in the back of your mind, sometimes allowing you to succeed in battle by just a hair.

While progressing through the campaign, you will also be faced with different battle scenarios and environmental puzzles, all of which can be replayed in different ways to find what works for you.

guy never checked the settings to see a fov option :/
