The gameplay loop is solid and the fun with friends is there.. when things are working like they're supposed too. But customer communication has become a huge problem with the studio, with it seeming like the devs are passing around a microphone seeing who can get a dig in at the discord and reddit users while patches and warbonds continually release broken. I uninstalled as I won't support a studio that has more time disrespecting it's customers than maintaining the quality of it's product. They have a community management team, use them. No one else from the studio needs to be talking to the playerbase period, it's gotten comical at this point that it's allowed to devolve to frat house level attitudes and people not doing their jobs. I'll check back in a few months to see if they've turned it around.

MW3 Campaign review update:

I feel like Chris Rock after getting smacked by Will Smith. Still enjoy the rest of it though.

==========

Only touch CoD every few years on the big main releases, but I haven't put this much time this quickly into CoD since the PS3 era. Some party related crashes the first week but since some hotfixes haven't had many issues, maybe 2 or 3 crashes since the first week. I prefer the movement changes they've implemented and am loving the gunsmith, though I wish we could create/save creations. Also wish weapons gave more flinch to balance the rock/paper/scissors of range advantages, but other than that I have been having a blast

So at first I thought I was struggling with this game. The movement/momentum felt a little floaty, I initially disliked the look into every nook and drawer on the map mechanic, but it started to grow on me. As more trials are introduced to overcome, you start to learn that you need to get into a rhythm of gathering, while being defensive or proactive about what dangers are on the map.

Honestly after the 4th or 5th new creature I started to think it was becoming too much, but after taking a step back and analyzing what was happening, I got into the groove of what needed to happen. If you go into it bashing your head into the wall barely getting past the mechanics, it only gets more difficult as it progresses. And the anxiety of that new creature I just learned about possibly popping around in the next room got me laying out plans in my head of how to deal with the threats, and I was on cruise control (with some setbacks) from there.

A couple minor issues such as some mechanics perhaps not behaving as exactly intended, but believe from looking at the notes they have been since patched. And I look forward to firing this back up soon for the spooky season and getting the other endings

I honestly thought this was a very well done game for one that is listed at just $1. While the momentum of the movement was a bit off putting, it didn't detract due to the nature of the game. The lighting scheme felt a bit smudgy to me at first, but after 15 minutes in I really lost focus of it and was just moving on the puzzles without thinking about it anymore. I had one issue where an item I picked up stayed in front of me despite being out of the examine screen and the item being on the table as well, a escape->save->load cleared the issue.

The puzzles weren't extremely challenging but did take some thought. I didn't need to look up a guide or solution, but a few due to little instruction required some process of elimination for me to figure out what exactly needed to be done. But I got through it in a bit over 2 hours and felt proud of myself for figuring them out, and praised the game for being challenging but not hair-pulling difficult with it's puzzles.

Enjoyed my time with this one, and it can mostly be figured out when you realize you need to look absolutely everywhere and underneath things. Once I understood that I really got rolling and had little issue figuring out most of the puzzles except for 1, as either I couldn't grasp what it was asking me to look at in particular or how the order of the solution was found (it was the clocks for the pin code). As that was the only puzzle I had to look up, and I had 0 performance issues or crashes, I gotta give it a recommendation if you're into puzzle games.

I was skeptical about this game at first, but I will have to preface this by saying this game will be much more enjoyable with voice communication. Thankfully there are various outlets that make this easier such as the official subreddit discord. I easily hop into a few matches every saturday night after a few drinks and have a blast. The matches aren't very long, the game is very easy to pick up as far as mechanics are concerned, and the devs have stayed pretty focused on fixing and adding features. This is easily one of the top 'social' games of 2020.

Dark souls, but remastered. Not much to say about this. I great upgrade from the original that runs like it always should have. Be advised however that coop and invasion content has been adjusted from the original, and uses uses weapon level ranges to matchmake on top of the already in place soul level matching.

Recently completed the game on hard (in game referred to as Ultra-Violence) and I have to say I fully enjoyed the playthrough. Ran smooth as butter for the most part on my system, PC controls where what they should be and weapons handled/performed like a shooter of this type should.

That said, if you are looking for scary or spooky horror it's not here. I played this as part of my halloween stream event and outisde of maybe 2 or 3 monster closet jump scares, it was really just a gore fest shoot 'em up. And that is not a bad thing, but if you are looking for the spookies it's not here. I would suggest Doom 3 if you want that survival horror feel. If you want a bloody, gruesome, awesome shooter than doom is a 10/10 for you.

I cannot comment on the multiplayer at all, as I haven't even looked at it in the menu.

I felt this game reminded me a lot of the original classic Deus Ex, with Human Revolution gameplay and elements. While the exploration was great fun, I felt the levels/missions ended with no real umph, and compared to Revolution suffered from a lack of challenging bosses. In fact, in my first playthrough the only two bosses I experienced were 1 side mission boss and the main boss of the game. But the game was a fun playthrough regardless of that.

I reccomend this game but only if you are willing to deal with constant balance changes. It's obvious they are going to continually add new survivors and killers which is going to change the balance of the game consistantly, and often requires a month+ for them to iron out the bugs introduced and smooth any overpowered changes that were made. IF you can deal with this the game can be a great time sink, with rounds not lasting too long and failure usually being from your own mistakes. Progression isn't too quick or grindy, and the introduction of the shrine allows that to be even somewhat quicker.

Future of the game will depend how haphazardly things are added, but as of this writing I am in support of this game.
