Wish I could give this a "neutral" review. Basically the game is a bit of a mess, but it's still a fun mechwarrior game. So if you're a fan of the genre, go buy it, otherwise I wouldn't bother.

The Good:
- Mechs!
- Cutscenes are pretty good
- There is a campaign with a story that makes sense
- Gameplay is fun. It's basically the same as mechwarrior online or mechwarrior mercenaries, so if you play(ed) those, you know what's coming.

The Bad
- Unoptimized mess. CPU throttling, low FPS, stuttering etc. I'm running a 3080 and sometimes i'm hitting 20fps, it's crazy.
- The menu is mindbogglingly bad. Menus in top left corner have the okay button in the bottom right, on PC. The pathing in the menu is also not intuitive, it's just bad.
- Voice acting is terrible, almost all character anoy the hell out of me because of it
- Faces in the cutscenes are really odd, they shake a lot so all characters look either terrified or fuming mad. This makes the voice acting even worse, as it doesn't fit the visuals.
- The collecting aspect of mercenaries is gone, there's basically unlimited money/repairs and getting a lance mate or 2 blown up has 2 consequences.

But it's still a Mech game, so i'm having fun :)

Games is not perfect, but for a combat focused 4X this game is good, and I do recommend.

First off; this game is basically a reskin of Gladius 40k, with a small technical upgrade. Gladius is also a good game, so this is not a bad thing. The graphics are way more polished, and there are some quality of life features added. There is less diversity though - so it's a big simpler.

The good:
- Interesting units and artstyle
- World looks great
- Factions are diverse (there's just not many of em, more on this later)
- They added diplomacy
- Very solid combat focussed 4x

The Bad:
- There are only 3 playable factions. (with flavour options depending on the selected specific faction)
- There are 3 NPC factions, which I find boring
- Less diversity and mechanics, especially compared to Gladius 40k
- You can cross skill into OTHER FACTIONS. So if you're a chulutlu loving weird blood faction, you can actually research and build high-tech tanks. wut
- Diplomacy is not done well and ads nothing but anoyance imo.

Good game at it's core, but Gladius is better, even though it looks worse :). That being sad, after many many gladius games, I like this, it's new, I'm happy!

TL;DR: Game is good and tons of fun

This game plays like the books read. It's completely over the top, gory, messy, rediculous and I'm loving every second of it

Graphics are good, style is awesome, sense of scale is fantastic
The characters are done extremely well
It's stable and runs quite smooth, had an occasional crash, but they actually released a properly working full game

Have not yet tried PVP or COOP missions, will add to review later. So far I'm having a blast just with the story, ran parts solo, ran parts with a friend. It's a really excellent game.

Did not like the artstyle, the faces are expression-less and dead, the combat is bland

The world is nice and open

It's a very fun vampire survivor clone, worth the 10 euro

Bugs and automatons threaten our freedom and democracy. So not only is this game a TON of fun to play, it simply is your civic duty to play it and protect our way of life.

Ps. The core mechanics of this game are top notch. Graphics are good, but not spectacular. With friends this is the most fun I've had in a long time with computer games.
Lastly, the developers are busting out patches like a machine gun, so it launched a bit rough, but is being polished as we speak. It's in a decent and improving state, matchmaking still needs to improve.

100% recommended buy at 40 euro, don't bother with super citizen unless you want to support the Devs.

Was doubtfull whether I should buy it, as I don't like the Aeldar either, but gave it a go anyway because I own every piece of DLC and I absolutely love the overall game

I really bloody f-ing hate these guys.
- Units are wayyyyyyyyyy to squishy, everything except for the builder guys gets one-shotted
- You do rediculous amounts of damage versus infantry and monsters, but next to nothing to vehicles and buildings
- The city grows slowly and struggles with loyalty, so teching up is tedious.

Basically everything gets one-shotted, and you simply don't have the tools to slow or stop AI city / building creep. It's just a very frustrating experience, where you need to delete all infantry / monsters, then run away from tanks and such or you risk losing your high level heroes to a one-shot.

Not fun at all for pve. I don't do PvP, but I can immagine it's a lot better there, for me this was just not fun at all

It's one of those games where you think "I'll just finish this one thing up, then go to sleep" and all of a suddon it's a week later.

Very well made, complex but understandable, extremely well optimised and maintained by the developer. This game is an absolute jewel, highly recommended if you like games which take a bit more thinking than usual.

Note; if you just want to shoot stuff and not have to think about anything, this game aint for you, but also - why are you reading this in the first place?

The game at it's core is wonderfull, but it's the details that it looses me in.

I really want to like this game, it's very pretty, the story is well written and the characters are interesting. However, random ♥♥♥♥ just keeps happening that completely pulls me out of the immersion...

For instance, we went to raid the hideout of a rival gang - this is a main story quest. After it was done, i wanted to check the cabin one more time and POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOF, police were everywhere, I was wanted for murder, and had to pay a huge bounty. Like, the ♥♥♥♥?

Other time, there was a shootout between homeowners and a gang we hate. I helped the homeowners by shooting the other gang. The split second the gang was dead the game reset to normal operations and.. YEP.. I was tresspassing on the land of the homeowners I just defender. Some magical pony police teleported in and.. you guessed it, bounty time.

I want to like the game, but it's a ♥♥♥♥ show in the details. These were just 2 examples, but I ran into many more. For an old game that also got the "labour of love" award, this is a complete joke. I cannot get into it, and I'm not finishing it most likely, even though it's the presttiest game I've ever played.
