So, first of all, yes, story mode took me around 2,5 hours to complete. That's fairly short for that price, so if you're only interested in that, then it may not be worth your money. But, after spending twice as that, for me it has much more to offer after finishing the story. There are various challenges and endless modes, both are really fun to do and unlock progressively - the more you play and beat the target score/time/pass the level, the more content you have. This so far keeps me entertained and still makes me play more and improve. For 15 euro I paid for this game, I think I already got my money worth by those 5 hours spent. This is a long review, so I will include a short summary just at the end of it as TL;DR version.

Gameplay-wise, this is not your everyday shooter. As you may already know from trailers, time only moves when you move (or generally, perform any action). Some of the story levels felt more like a puzzle - getting the spawn patterns right, knowing which corner to watch for, avoiding those nasty gunshots from ever hitting you. The more you play, the more game mechanics you discover. At very first, I did not know that you can have your time slowed while jumping, but this apparently is a thing and can help with avoiding bullets a lot while still closing the gap to any weapons you need. Melee weapons are a blast, with katana being the strongest (in my opinion) - I personally like to throw it for instakills, slice red guys with almost no hit delay whatsoever (with gunshots, most of guns have a delay between shots to make sure you just don't spam the trigger). I also saw katana blocking bullets, but so far I mostly failed with that one by destroying a weapon I wanted to grab by accidentally throwing katana into it (whoops !). AI is spot-on, although it just shoots in your general direction and may cause some friendly fire on the way, but I find it more as a feature than a flaw.

It's hard to say more about gameplay without spoiling too much for the player, so let's get to visuals and performance, both are really great. I'm running the game on fairly low-spec laptop (with Geforce 630m crippling it the most) in 1024x768, and manage to mantain 30fps+ at most moments, while having the graphics at low quality, but that only impacts the shadow quality and Anti-Aliasing, and game still looks great with artstyle of mostly white and red colours used. Just beware, as the game seems to be built with Unity engine, there are some issues with that, which are engine-specific - it seems like changing resolution to one with non-native aspect ratio (4:3, 5:4 etc. if you're running a 16:9 monitor), makes it so there are black borders on the side that are catching any Steam in-game elements to stay in there even if they are not visible, and also making the video smaller overall. I could get used to this, but I figure some people may not, so just be aware of this.

SUMMARY
-great, innovative gameplay (time moves only when you move, kind of player-centred)
-flashy, white and red artstyle with text comments about what's going on flashing in front of gameplay (may be obstructive at times, but overall it's spot on IMO), a small epilepsy warning here, as this text is the most "flashy" element in the game.
-just OK sound, nothing out of this world, nothing that could break game experience
-very good performance with some Unity engine-specific issues here and there
-big replay value with challenges and endless modes

Is it worth the money ? If you considered all the stuff mentioned here and still want to just finish story mode and be done with it, then I may not think so. But I think some of those "story mode only" people may still get enough of an impression to still get going with rest of the content this game has to offer. If along what you have seen by trailers and read in reviews is enough for you to think, that you may or will enjoy this game, definitely buy it. You will not regret it.

Oh, and lastly:
SUPER. HOT. SUPER. HOT. SUPER. HOT.

Early Access Review
Amazing mix of car driving, jumping, gliding, boosting, rotating, wallriding, blade and laser dodging, great, electro music and even randomly generated tracks. I don't know how else can I describe this game. If you're either a fan of trackmania, futuristic cars, arcade racing games or just wanna see something that is almost completely new and may just blow your mind away, then you must buy it.

This game is in beta stage of development, and except maybe just a little lack of official levels (there are lots of community levels already and seed-generated levels as well), it just feels like a complete product. Oh, and you can add custom music to it, and let some levels flash into beat of it as well. Fancy.

Multiplayer is not working if you drop to even 59fps at any given moment of gameplay, micro-stuttering = bye bye matchmaking. I personally get 60fps 90% of the time yet multiplayer locks the framerate to 30fps, which means that I can't play online since 30fps multiplayer does not work. Singleplayer is fine, but it's a competetive fighting game, if you want to buy it then go for console version which is 100% working, while PC's multiplayer is broken. And if you need a working multiplayer PC fighter then I'd recommend either Street Fighter IV or Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition, this is just not worth the price as half of content is missing.

UPDATE
due to 2 patches that Netherrealm studios did in most recent days, the game seems to be finally playable in multiplayer. Overall, they fixed the following issue and now game works brilliantly. Now I finally got a full product on my steam account and can absolutely recommend it, this game is a blast when played in multiplayer, story mode is great too but this game was meant to be a competetive fighter so I can finally enjoy this feature too. Still, you need a machine that can hold the game in 60fps to be able to play it, so if you think that your machine may not handle it, then maybe some of your friends can share it with you to check out if everything is fine.
