Introduction:
Deep Space Waifu, developed by Neko Climax Studios, is a unique blend of an arcade shooter and an adult-themed visual novel. While it may not be a game for everyone, it undeniably offers an entertaining and exhilarating experience for those looking for a lighthearted, fast-paced, and visually appealing adventure. In this in-depth review, we'll explore the game's captivating elements that make it an enjoyable and unique gaming experience.

Visually Engaging:
One of the standout features of Deep Space Waifu is its eye-catching art style and vibrant visuals. The game's characters, inspired by anime aesthetics, are beautifully illustrated and display a diverse range of designs, each with its own personality. The attention to detail in the character animations and environments is commendable, creating a visually immersive experience.

Gameplay Mechanics:
Deep Space Waifu's gameplay mechanics are simple yet addictive. Players take control of a spaceship and embark on a journey to save different waifus across various levels. The core gameplay involves shooting down enemies and avoiding obstacles while protecting the waifu character in each level. The shooting mechanics are smooth, responsive, and accompanied by satisfying sound effects. The game strikes a good balance between challenging gameplay and accessibility, making it suitable for both casual players and more experienced gamers.

Varied Content:
Deep Space Waifu boasts a wide range of content that keeps players engaged for hours. With over 50 unique levels, each featuring a distinct waifu character, players can expect plenty of diversity in terms of gameplay, visuals, and interactions. The different themes and environments add a refreshing element to the game, preventing it from becoming monotonous. Additionally, the inclusion of unlockable costumes, power-ups, and upgrades adds depth and replay value to the overall experience.

Sound Design and Music:
The sound design in Deep Space Waifu is exceptional, perfectly complementing the game's vibrant visuals and gameplay. The background music is catchy, energetic, and seamlessly blends with the fast-paced action, adding to the overall immersion. Each waifu character has her own voice acting, which further enhances their distinct personalities and makes the interactions more enjoyable.

Engaging Narrative Elements:
While Deep Space Waifu primarily focuses on arcade shooting gameplay, it also incorporates visual novel elements into its narrative. Each waifu character has her own backstory and personality, adding depth to the game's universe. The dialogue interactions, while occasionally playful and tongue-in-cheek, help create a connection between the player and the waifus. Although the adult-themed content may not be everyone's cup of tea, it is handled with a humorous and lighthearted approach, ensuring that it doesn't overshadow the overall gameplay experience.

Conclusion:
Deep Space Waifu offers a unique and enjoyable experience that combines arcade shooting, visual novel storytelling, and beautiful artwork. Its captivating visuals, addictive gameplay mechanics, diverse content, and excellent sound design make it a delight to play. While it may not be a game for those seeking a deep narrative or a completely serious experience, it excels in providing entertaining gameplay and lighthearted fun. If you're looking for a game that embraces its own style and offers a unique blend of genres, Deep Space Waifu is definitely worth exploring.

Game is decent, wish i could leave a mixed feelings review instead of negative.

A lot of bugs, building doesn't feel as great as KSP.

Huge missed opportunity not having this game be about full-scale aircraft.

Early Access Review
Now that i can finally post a review, i have to say, that this game in it's current state is a must have for building game lovers. The game still has a far way to go, but the building is so well made, It has matured very well from the first version and you can make any shape you'd like essentially.

It's all very intuitive and works very well, you can colour engines, lights, everything really with painting. With all the small blocks you can add all the unnecessary details to the ship that you'd like. The logic system works great and is easy to understand, you can even build your own handheld weapons now which is something I wanted since I first started playing.

Going beyond the building aspect, the game looks and performs great on these specification:
-AMD Ryzen 5 2600
-16GB DDR4 RAM
-NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER

Here are some things i would like added/changed to the game though

-Smaller Docking Ports (bruh i wanna make a hyperspace ring)
-More Weapons
-Shield Regulator so you can put more power at the front of the shield than the back etc
-Big Circular Engine
-Hyperspace block for small ships that can't fit a large engine
-Better Flying controls, the mouse "joystick" feels terrible to fly with

That about sums up my POV on this game, i hope this helped you make a decision.
