Well RAID you are an odd game, but I must say...
You make a good co-op shooter.

What's better than a Resonance Cascade?
Not being in one.
But what's better than that?
Fine Dining.

The Proper Way

This fine soup requires:
1000 ml Fresh Water
0.6 Oz Table Salt
1 Whole Raw Alien Rump
1 Whole Raw Alien Mandible

You'll want to start with your cooking station of choice, as this recipe requires a source of heat hot enough to boil water. If you can't find a stove in your place of work, be it a small office in the security sector or a cell in the containment sector, handmade is fine. Grab a 1000 ml cooking pot of reliable quality, fill with fresh water until nearly full, and wait for it to boil. I prefer to throw in the salt ahead of time, but you can throw it in all at once if you prefer.
Once the water has reached boiling temp, gently lower the Raw Rump and Mandible, along with any left over salt you did not add. The fat from the rump will continue to sizzle and add flavor while the gristle of the mandible will slowly soften. The water will turn a brownish hue while the Alien continues to cook, possibly creating a sound that might remind you of your coworkers; This is normal, and is no cause for concern.
Check after about 2 minutes have passed. If the mandibles are not loose and do not twist with a bit of pull, wait for the muscles to give out and wait another minute. Because of the "culture" inside of the Alien reacting to the salt, you will not need to stir for the entire session, and the time it takes to completely finish should be by the time you finish cleaning up your kitchen area.
Once the soup is finished, place down the pot on a table of your choice, serve wisely, and enjoy the fruits of your labor with a few coworkers. Or have the entire thing for yourself if you don't like any of your coworkers, like Jeremy from HR who said your present to Samuel wasn't "appropriate" and "posed a danger to everyone at the party." Says the guy who brought dry nachos with no Pico de Gallo! Look who's laughing now, Jeremy!

OH FOR ♥♥♥♥♥ SAKE.

It was negative because of PSN, and then we changed it because PSN was being revoked.

Only afterwards does Sony pull this game away from everyone who can't make a PSN account AFTER everyone had already purchased it. Are you kidding me? Is there not a single human being in Sony headquarters?

Make the game global again you Automatons! Helldivers stand United!

You know, when I usually write reviews, it's mostly from my first hand experience with the game, and what I hope for it in the future. But this time? This feels different. When I first played the game, it was almost like the first Vampire Survivors, being a bullet hell rogue-lite that felt like it was made by like 3 people max. The DLC was a massive issue, but with the content it used to bring, it was manageable.

Years later, the game gets a season 2, and the entire game changes. It's no longer a rogue-lite, but a Diablo like, which wouldn't be a problem if the nearly 20 bucks I spent on chapter DLC suddenly disappeared. Add that with the fact that the game still plays like a 5 dollar project, and the fact that the devs just do not give a single rat dropping about the player base, and that my friends is a recipe for disaster.

But don't worry, it gets worse. If the gameplay was any good, then playing more than one character would be worth it. But after the new season, I can barely tell the difference. The DLCs are absolutely not worth it. If they added more content, maybe this will change. If the devs stopped being absolute doorknob lubers, then this review will definitely change.

Usually, I tell you whether or not you should get this game, or to save your money for another time. This time is different. If you are absolutely desperate for a rogue-lite that isn't Vampire Survivors, you missed your chance. If you're looking for a budget Diablo game, look elsewhere. I cannot, repeat, CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS GAME due to the awful devs, basic gameplay, horrible DLC practices, and to be honest, I wish I was playing anything else.

Verdict: Play Path of Exile 2 when it comes out. Play Death Must Die. Play any other indie game like this game, and don't reward the devs for their lack of care for the community that kept this game alive.
Devs, if it wasn't for a community that enjoyed the game, you'd be doing freelancing for Unity.

Give me my money back for the DLC you removed, I want to play a better game.

This game is everything to me, and I mean that in a light way. I played the first Risk of Rain when I was younger, it along side Binding of Isaac awoken the blood of rougelikes in me, and I have been switching back and forth between Risk of Rain 1 and 2 for some time now. This game is like me living those young memories once again, and I have to thank the devs for this. This franchise means a lot to me, and I enjoyed every moment I had with the older games, and will continue to support them for this amazing work of art.
Cheers Hopoo Games, this ones for you.
EDIT: Much like an onion, this game has layers, and makes you cry once you start cutting into it. Nominate this game and ignore the mobile gacha in the distance!

Do you want a Diablo game that keeps your attention better than whatever slop TikTok has in their test tubes, but you don't want to give Blizzard any more money out of your personal savings?
Path of Exile should be the first pick if that ever crosses your reptile mind.

Featuring characters that reflect your online personality if it was ever manifested into a demented person (I'd want to Exile me too), Weapon play that reminds you of the good ol' days of when Blizzard actually cared about making quality products, and a constant influx of content that keeps you wanting more and more until you look back at Diablo and wonder when Blizzard got it so wrong. (I personally believe it started right at the end of Diablo 3's campaign)

Pay to Win? Naw son. The only thing you're paying for is to swag on the people that haven't payed for the latest season's "Ultimate Flex Pack." The only downside I can see to having these flashy muscles flex on most servers is that it might cause some performance issues to people that run games on their smart fridge, but even in that regard, Path of Exile can run on even the lowest specs at respectable frames. That's a lot of 'spec.

"What about the Grind?" I hear you say, as you clutch your prison garments and fear the flashbacks of killing the same boss over and over in your previous games. Well, fear no longer, my precious Exile, since this game has a respectable balance of enemy power and loot, with armor and weapons dropping at a Thumbs Up level, and allowing even the weirdest of builds to work, albiet in a restrictive manner.

So grab your weapon of choice and join this season's league. We'll be waiting for you in Wraeclast, Exile.

Let's start with a disclaimer.
I played all classes, only looping twice with one character, and never again. I play casually, not sweaty, so I've never gone past Mayhem 1-2. If that invalidates my opinion, and this entire review counts as a skill issue, then please; Wipe your greasy hands on the nearest Apex player and go touch tree bark.

Guns, Guns, and... Guns?
I gotta give it to Gearbox, they know how to make a gun that kills things.
Other than the... oddities...
The gun-play is fine. Nothing really fantastic about it, and nothing really bad about it either.
Really, the only thing I can talk about is the scaling when it comes to damage, and I've never gone past Mayhem 1.
Other than that, the guns really are nothing to talk about; Which is strange, because this game is nothing but guns.

Fan Fiction... I mean Story
Okay that joke is overplayed by a wide margin. But in that joke is a hint of truth, where almost everyone telling the joke, in some weird unity, is saying that the writing is bonkers, even for a Borderlands game (That's impressive).
What can I say that hasn't been said about the story already? Characters are unlikable, direction feels strange, and for some reason, I feel more in connection with Claptrap than Ava.
Again, beating a rotten horse by now, so let me end this section with a Warning to Gearbox:
Randy... If, in the next part of this series, Zer0, at any point of the story, dies or goes missing from the series entirely... I will find you, and strain the grease from your body like a washcloth, and use that grease to fry an entire turkey, where I will stuff the entire turkey back into your body, causing you to start getting greasy. Then, I will put you in a Turkey Grease Loop (tm) until Golden Experience Requiem tells me that enough is enough. (I don't mean any actual harm to Randy, but I'm just saying, don't you dare **** Zer0 up.)
Where was I? Oh yeah...
Story sucks, moving on.

Conclusion
Grind? What?/10. I can't tell if my luck is worse 'cause I'm not a streamer, or it's just me.
Story? Na/10. Don't mess up Zer0, Randy. I mean it, Randy. With a Buttermilk Breaded Turkey, Randy.
Gameplay? 4/10. How do the guns seem less interesting than the previous games?
Verdict: Screw Epic Games. Get the game when it's on sale. Or, better yet, get the previous games; They're better anyways.

On one hand, I enjoyed this game. It made Violet the Florian, a totally original character that I still use to this day. The gameplay was nice, and was an okay step away from Terraria for a second.
And I'm kinda sad that they just stopped working on this game after launch, leaving it with the Avail (Still have no idea what the HELL those guys are, some kind of fluffy raptor?).

On the other hand, however, I'm kinda glad they dropped this game. They quite literally gave furries a sandbox to insert themselves into, and then dipped (what a power move). If this game was worked on any longer than it was after launch, it may not be the same experience that we have to this day.
I don't mean that in a harsh way, but what I am saying is that:
With this game being dropped after launch, we got off easy.
Imagine if they tried going mainstream, adding things that no one agrees with, trying to get merch deals for posters and toys, and inevitably becoming a cash grab that deters any of the original fans.
Buy this game, and let it be that thing that, every so often, you get reminded that it exists, and all the good (and bad) things that came of it.

Violet givessss thisss game a 7 outta 10
8.5 outta 10 with modssss

I remember when I played Gauntlet: Dark Legacy on my brother's Gamecube. Both of us completely sucked at it, but it was a bonding experience for the both of us.
Nostalgia got the best of my brother, and he gave me this game, wanting the memories of Dark Legacy to come back to life.

What happened between Dark Legacy and this game? This game could've been good, but there was so many flaws right from the start. Not to mention the DLC...
Look how they massacred my boy!
