Look, this game knows what it is. It delivers exactly what it says on the tin — weird, spicy, unapologetic content for a very specific crowd. And for that? It works.

That said, calling it a “good game” feels a bit misleading. There’s just… not much to do. You explore, you watch things get slurped, and then you kinda sit there wondering what you’re doing with your life (while still strangely entertained).

If you’re here for deep mechanics or gameplay progression, turn back. If you’re here because your brain short-circuited from a gif on Twitter at 3AM? Yeah, you’ll probably get your money’s worth.

6.9/10 — would stare blankly at the screen in post-nut clarity again.

I downloaded VRChat as a joke. A meme. I was like, “haha yeah let’s see the weird anime people.” Now it’s 3AM and I’m sitting in a mirror world wearing a custom Rexolium avatar with toggles for ✨emotions✨, sipping fake wine, getting ear scritches from a synth fox who says “rawr” unironically — and I’m into it???

Every day in this game is a new flavor of identity crisis. One day I’m a smol angry bean yelling at people’s shins in a public world, the next I’m emotionally bonding with a dragon over childhood trauma while pretending we’re in space.

Also, who gave me, a short, chaos-fueled gremlin, access to full-body tracking? That was a mistake. I’ve kicked over at least three people and dabbed into a wall IRL. Worth it.

And don’t get me started on the mirror. I live in the mirror now. I make 45 facial expressions, blink five times, and start rethinking my entire personality. I haven’t played an actual “game” in weeks. I’ve just been vibing. And cuddling. And drinking with strangers who now know more about me than my real friends.

EAC? Still garbage. Crashes me when I sneeze.
VRChat? Still home. Still therapy. Still hell.

10/10 — would yell “pat me, coward” while chasing a 7ft tall shark again.

This game could have been something great. It’s got that old-school DOOM energy — fast, messy, chaotic fun with a short but solid campaign that shows real potential.

And then… the devs ditched it. Abandoned it like yesterday’s patch notes to chase their sad excuse of a mech game — which, let’s be honest, plays like a physics demo stapled to a UI project.

What’s here is still fun if you can look past the betrayal. But don’t expect more. This is the final form — and it deserved better.

played it on epic games launcher first but it is a good game that forces you to think ahead for building size and even locations

This game? CS-bleh. It’s not Counter-Strike, it’s Counter-Suffering. I’ve never hated something this passionately — and I say that with love. No, seriously. I'm passionately passionate about how passionately I hate this digital war crime.

The hitreg is more like missreg. The smokes work when they feel like it. I peek an angle and die before I even exist. My bullets take coffee breaks. My teammates? Emotionally feral toddlers with voice chat access.

Every round is a rush B straight to my blood pressure. Every match is a full-length feature film titled How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Tilt.

If emotional pain was an esport, I’d be Global Elite.

0/10 — would uninstall, reinstall, and uninstall again. Just out of spite.

For what it is, Breeders of the Nephelym is shockingly good. Mechanically smooth, visually polished (emphasis on the polish), and surprisingly deep for something that starts with “monster girl farming simulator.”

I was ready to slap a sad face on this and mark it as abandoned — but plot twist! The devs just yeeted out of hibernation with a fresh update as of 6/13/25. So yeah… I stand corrected. The breeding barn lives on.

That said, development's been slower than a sleepy satyr, and while the content slaps (in more ways than one), it's been a wild ride watching this game teeter between cult classic and ghost town. But hey — the potential is still all there, bouncing around in glorious full physics.

8/10 — would wrangle thicc fluff creatures again. Glad it’s not dead. Yet.
