Overall worse than the original game. The story is lacking with only a few characters to care about, the MC's voice is incredibly annoying and her talking points are obnoxious. gameplay is so much clunkier and vehicles are painful to control compared to the original game, and it's far, far less scary. I, unknowingly, skipped past a large chunk of this game's content on my first playthrough, because there is absolutely nothing compelling you to explore these annoying areas.

The leviathans suck. Theyre not scary, none of them are, nor are they very memorable. This game's equivalent to the Active Lava Zone in the first game is ironically the safest biome in the game if you can remove the area's only hazards.

The ending is great, and is very cool. The basebuilding improvements are great and very cool. The QOL improvements are great and very cool. But these do not outweigh the fact that this sequel is a letdown compared to subnautica/

ULTRAKILL is a fine game with cool movement mechanics. However most of the guns don't feel beefy at all and, really, there's not much content to be had. Wait for ACT 3 before forking out $20 for this.

This game is incredibly good. It doesn't take 500 hours to unlock everything it has to offer but the ride to getting these things is amazing. Each character is interesting and unique, with fun individual quirks (except for one). Being able to just pick this game up and have an awesome run is a very satisfying feeling that most games nowadays can't replicate. It's challenging but it's not masochistic, and if you've ever played bullet hell games, this is definitely one to experience. Upgrading the main hub area, even though it barely changes, really does make it feel lived in and habitable. The soundtrack is great and definitely grows on you, although it can be repetitive.

There's a certain quest in the game which requires you to finish the game once, finish it again with a special effect, and two back-to-back runs of the game and ends with you, having spent hours attempting this, unlocking one of the coolest and most broken characters this game offers.

Basically, if you haven't already, enter the gungeon.

I will preface this - the game is great... on consoles.

The PC port is absolutely broken. Most enemies are invisible, your mount is invisible, crashes are frequent when trying to play in multiplayer. It's inexcusable and not fun. 60% of fights are impossible due to not being able to see anyone or anything attacking you.

This is the worst launch any Fromsoft game has had. I will update the review when they fix the game but for now, wait until it's fixed before you buy

Update: to flex on casuls, I have gotten every achievement while the game is broken.

The game is great but i'm not here to talk about the game. I'm going to talk about the radio instead. In the base game, you have like 3 radio stations. Black Mountain Radio, Mojave Music Radio and New Vegas Radio. There ARE great songs, you've probably already heard of them though, namely "Big iron" by Marty Robbins. This song has been plastered over the internet for the better half of 5 years now. Anywho, onto the main discussion. First, we talk about New Vegas Radio (Or NVR as I will now be calling it).

Short answer: It's okay.
Long answer: It's the best radio station by a good margin. The songs are fine, some stand out, some flop horrendously, there's an announcer named Mr. New Vegas who will occasionally chime in, crack a few jokes, or even comment on things you've done to influence the Mojave. He's an alright guy.

Mojave Music radio is alright. The songs are very country and not bad. Again, some suck, and one of them is literally Big Iron. And Guitar johnny. Atleast this station doesn't have Mad About the Boy. No announcer here, by the way.

Big Mountain Radio is literally Mojave Music Radio. I ♥♥♥♥ you not. But it does have an announcer, but this is spoiler territory now.

Final score: 4/10. The radio here pales in comparison to FO4's god tier song listing.

Game is fine tho. Buy it.
