i usually try to be charitable to games. see the positives.

this game is dull, boring and uninspired.

where to i even start? let's talk navigation first. please go to the world map so you can go to a dungeon then go to a sub dungeon then go to a battle. why do we need 5 levels of stuff like this? is this game a dungeon crawler or a card battler? i wouldn't mind if it was a dungeon crawler! but honestly the UI is not fun to navigate (quite the contrary) so any sort of extra navigation is just not particularly fun. i will admit that i am, once again, being uncharitable. it's not always like this, you can navigate *some* on the world map and do stuff there, but eventually you are forced to go dungeon diving. and it isn't fun to navigate.

which leads me to the ui : haha, god it's miserable. navigating the game is not fun in any capacity. i have to be honest and say i played with a controller, then with mouse and keyboard - it was moderately less bad with the latter, but just not a fun time to deal with all of it, man. which is pretty pivotal in a game that's based on menuing.

and ultimately what did me in is the character progression. yes there's "depth". you can pick what the character does and build around that. but i don't play card battlers to have modular skill trees. on top of that, you can eventually pick more "skills" (cards) to add to your deck, but the decks just do not mesh with one another. the unique mechanics are neat, but i could clearly see very fast that the decks just... don't mesh with each other. the specialisation ideas is cool - a character can be more healing focused, or field focused, but any and all extra customisation past that is just not great. you are very much funnelled into going deeper off the spec you picked. i will admit that i am not being very fair having only played a handful of hours, but i cannot imagine spending 10+ with this. it just feels like shallow customisation.

also the campaign was terribly dull. unbelievably so. there should be a hook in a game if you bother to put in a campaign. i found none here.

Hi Blue, thanks for taking the time to share such an in-depth review, really appreciate your honesty. It’s clear you gave the game a fair shot, and we’re sorry to hear it didn’t land for you.

Your thoughts on the navigation flow, UI experience, and deck synergy are noted—these are valuable points, especially as they touch on both design clarity and gameplay cohesion. While we’ve aimed for depth and flexibility in character progression, it’s clear that the structure may not click with every player, and that’s something we’ll keep in mind as we move forward in future projects.

We’re always learning from feedback like this, so thank you again for sharing and thanks for giving the game a shot!
