A little bit improvement from AC IV : Black Flag. Feels like a DLC.

Gameplay

AC Rogue is Black Flag in different timeline (took setting in 7 years' war). Same mechanism : Naval combat with a little change in ship's weapons, capturing forts, fleet battle, treasure puzzles, Abstergo hacking PC, hunting animals (and harpooning), etc. Added grenades in weapons choices, stalkers lurking behind you, Assassin Interception as the substitution of Assassin contract and capture gang HQ. They also re-introduced renovation and income system like the old AC game (Ezio's). Bigger maps (and 3 different maps) and more collectibles. These are actually improvements from AC IV : Black Flag, but I feel, this is just the way Ubisoft trying to make playtime higher because the story is relatively short compared to another previous AC main titles.

Story

Too short maybe? But It's okay because this title connecting between AC III, AC IV : Black Flag (Haytham Kenway & Adewale), this game itself, and AC Unity (Arno and Elise). Master Shay Cormac shows us the Templar's Order perspective, from ex-Assassin and become Assassin hunter. Unique story indeed, you're a Templar but still Assassin.

Cheap but get the BUNDLE. 4 titles in order.

Running stable 60 FPS with RX 580.

Bugs

Sometimes I struggle with sword combat, I don't know this is a bug or the game itself isn't as fluid as AC IV : Black Flag.

2013 games. Quite impressive for 7 years old game.

Gameplay

Still stealth and parkour. Ubisoft added naval battles and you can board or sink enemy's ship. They also added Kenway's Fleet which is a mini-game for getting in-game currency and some collectibles. Not many choices of weapons and guns, but they added Rope dart (This one sick AF). Swimming mechanism a little bit too hard for me, sometimes frustrating. This is the most unique titles in AC franchise. Hopefully, Skull & Bones will become "Black Flag 2" without Assassination thing.

Story

Historically accurate enough although it's not 100% accurate! I love they made stories for Flying Gang (Edward Thatch aka Blackbeard, Ben Hornigold, Charles Vane, Calico Jack Rackham, Stede Bonnet, Anne Bonny, and Mary Read aka James Kidd). This is just story about Golden Age of Piracy in Carribean. I read stories of em when I was teenager.

Crash once, not a problem. But I need to set the lowest Anti Aliasing, if not I couldn't run the campaign (Only black screen and not responding).

Free for first episode, just don't play it if you dont want to buy another episodes, because you will. Is it worth to buy? You decide. Make sure play the first episode before you decide to buy. (But again, you will. Mehehe). I considered this is not a free game.

It got improved so much than the first released in 2014. Remember when Ubisoft wrote an apology after their "Bestselling franchise" is a joke. But they improved it, NO MORE BUGS, NO ABILITY TO HANG OFF INVISIBLE WALLS, NO MISSING FACES, NO STUCK IN OBJECTS, NO BODIES BEING TWISTED! They deliver pretty nice and accurate scenery of Epic Paris Landmarks. Still great for a game that released 2014.

Gameplay

It's FUN! Love the parkour! As an Assassin you know what to do, DO STEALTH, KILL PEOPLE and GET PAID! That's it, what's more? Sometimes you just become a courier. Many repetitives side mission but it's not boring for me. But the AI just stupid enough, I think they're blind sometimes. They added "detective" missions and the objective is to find the murderer! Sometimes, that was hard (Re: Challenging) to find the guilty one.

Story

Typical AC stories but not as bold as Ezio's trilogy. Set in French Revolution Era. It's just story of revenge and politics but bad ending still sucks! Poor Elise. But I love the way AC accurately tells history of the era inside a game with some fiction.

Price

STEAM STORE BUG! Got it almost free with only IDR28 lol. They also gave it for free after fire caused extensive damage to Notre Dame Cathedral. I consider that I received this game for free. This game is worth to buy along with the bundle that comes with Black Flag, Rogue, and Syndicate.

Some minor bugs like suddenly can't move or missing underground entrance in map. Crash once in 62 hours of playing.

Unique DLC, in the main stories you will be "complicated friend" of Napoleon Bonaparte, but in the DLC you will know that he will be your contender to retrieve Apple of Eden. Poor moment for Arno at 3rd memory-"A shadow from the past". No more spoiler sorry, but it's a sad moment.

My personal favourite hack and slash game. Some chapters provide character choice options between Nero, V, and the legendary character, Dante which can be played in that chapter. For me, Nero is rather boring because he only has a sword, pistol, and additional cybernetic called Devil Breaker. V is easiest one to play, you only need taping random YXYXYXYX with your gamepad and EZ SSS COMBO?!! How about Dante? Never disappoints me with the variety of weapons he has. This game has a high replayability with higher difficulty after finish the story and Bloody Palace. You might also not find all secret missions in the first playthrough.

Story

Too fast for me (finish around 10hrs). But still a good story. DMC 6 PLS!

Price

Got this game for free from AMD promotion. I suggest waiting until there is a discount for those of you who are just looking for the story. The price is quite expensive for 10 hours of playthrough.

Quality yes it's good. But it's just reworks from Far Cry 4.

SAME MAP, SAME MECHANISM, SAME GAMEPLAY LIKE FAR CRY 4. Ubisoft really lazy making this game. Only reworked version of Far Cry 4. This one should be Far Cry 4 DLC!

Boring and I still don't finish this game yet.
