I'm writing this while having >1000h of hours of Elden Ring on Steam, 250+ h on PS5, and over 1000h on other FromSoft games (DS series, Demon's Souls, Bloodborne, platinumed most their games, etc.)

I did not have high expectations for NIGHTREIGN. The game is simply not worth your time, nor your hard-earned money.

It's a solid rogue-like requiring you to carry your other 2 random teammates who really suck at the game and die due to the storm, while chased by a Crucible Knight with a funny tail.

You either always queue with 2 friends of yours, or simply forget this game exists. At the moment solo mode is still not properly balanced, and the damage scaling sucks ass.

FromSoftware is no stranger to making a really bad multiplayer mode, and they seem to have done it again. No duo mode, in 2025? I simply don't understand the logic behind this. But here we are.

The world seems very repetitive and you kinda know what to expect every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time. Fighting the Bell-Bearing Hunter 3 runs in a row does not seem fun and really shows the lack of randomness they promoted so much.

The final boss (the Cerberus-like boss) seems fairly balanced and the moveset is relatively easy to learn. I did not get to other bosses yet (at 2h of gameplay).

Wait for sale if you really wanna play this, but I don't see myself or anyone else playing it long-term, as it simply does not have the potential. It gets boring pretty quick.

Also no ultrawide support, I guess they couldn't optimize their messy game again, after 2 years since they've released Elden Ring.
