Welcome to Trumbull Valley. Enjoy the skull smashing and decapitation, and don't worry about those red smudges on your clothes, it's perfectly normal in here!

State of Decay, an arcade-ish zombie "sandbox" game by Undead Labs. "Sandbox" because you have the possibility to do what you want (in game limitations of course), without any time limits.
There is a story, but it's not what you should buy this game for. It's the fun from killing zombies, and building a community to survive.
"Building a community"? Yes. You have it in here. You start out small, with some people barely tying up an end with the other end, and you are supposed to help them survive. Or you can just ignore them completely and go kill some zombies. Up to you.

The combat is pretty enjoyable. The game doesn't have any tutorials on to how to kill that walking corpse, but you will figure it out fairly quickly. Or just check the wiki. There are few types of zombies, from the normal shambling ones, through sprinting bastards and ending with a juggernaut that requires some effort to take out.

Gameplay itself is also done well. You can get into nearly every building you see, you can look around for supplies to help your group survive, you can swap between characters. And there's character progression.
Many people recommend playing on a pad, but I actually have no difficulties to play on a keyboard & mouse.

Graphics are nice, even for a X360 game, made on CryEngine 3. AI is good enough (as for a zombie).

If you are looking for a game where you kill zombies, run around and do stuff, and where it "tries" to simulate an apocalypse, then this is it.

I got this for full price, and I am not disappointed. There's a living modding community going, so the game has at least some years of life more. Although, if you do not care about a story mode, and you prefer just a survival sandbox, you should also get Breakdown DLC.

Eh, it's the first time I actually tried to write a proper review (other than my language classes), so bear with any errors, please.
