Early Access Review
More like "Inventory Space Engineers". The biggest challenge is putting up with how many trips you'll have to take from your cargo container to your work-in-progress constructions, due to how little your character can carry.

The single-player experience is similar to Minecraft, you get a tech tree and an open world, and it is up to you to find your way through the game. Unlike Minecraft, there aren't enough mods to redeem the shallow tech tree, nor enough happening in the world to justify exploration. Once you've built a small ship and a large ship, mined some asteroids and engaged some hostiles, you'll probably get bored and give up.

This game is might be better in multiplayer, that's not my cup of tea.

Yes, I do know the option for changing the size of my inventory, and after watching a few Lets Plays, I decided to crank it up to 10x before I even started playing. I still spent far too much time either carrying stuff to my work-in-progress ship or flying my mining ship, overweight with ores, back to my base.

I'm not opposed to games where it's up to you to find your way. It's just that there really doesn't seem to be much to do in the world except build big impressive things, which if you've played any other building sandbox games, gets old quickly.

Seriously? Dont know of the option to change the size of your inventory? And it is up to you to find your way through the game.... No shit sherlock; need someone to hold your hands?

And about the last part, yes your right. Thats why i built big ships, and build my own worlds with toolbox and put some scripts in it to make a story. Thats what is so amazing about se... If you dont want to put effort in this game it aint for you!
