I hate this game. 100k dps at endgame. Doesn't matter the random rare still takes five minutes to kill. Max resistances? Nah still get 1ms killed. What you think is decent energy shield? Nah still get 1 ms killed. You want to avoid getting hit? Well screw you the enemies are 10x faster than you. You know why you die.. because the game is balanced around people who don't like actually playing video games.. they enjoy being stat accountants, you either follow a pre-mapped build guide. Or pre-plan your build all the way through. Do you know why you die.. because your build can't kill things 1-2 screens ahead and you aren't moving at mach 10 and if you don't the enemies are so blazingly fast.. if they actually get to you towards the end of the game.. you are dead.

I wanted to enjoy POE1, I really really have tried.. I've gotten multiple characters into endgame.. level 80 and above over the years.. I just can't. I love POE2. But this just isn't it. The only thing it has over POE2 is content.. and in 14 years POE2 will have that also. Every encounter in endgame in POE1 are pure stat checks, every rare, every boss. There's no actual meaningful and enjoyable skill based gameplay involved. You either click one button and clear two screens ahead.. or you die. That's the entire game..

And that's without the unbearable DDOS lag.. making the already clunky, click to move.. weightless gameplay even worse.

The crafting bench is a nice thing to have over POE2. However, actually upgrading gear from bases is just awful. I'm yet to ever actually see an exalt orb.. despite putting in 167 hours on steam and more off steam. Actual moment to moment crafting feels absolutely non existent through the entire campaign. In POE2 I can upgrade multiple sets of gear to max modifications during the campaign easily. And don't get me started on the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ gem slot system (Not the gems like the gems and how they work.) But the damn slots.. the colours the fusing.. the gambling to get some gem sockets. You become so dependent on your current gear due to that system that you can't replace gear for ages, and with the complete lack of exalts.. its just completely unfun.

The maps in this game are huge.. there's so much backtracking. There's no check points. You may have heard people who where whining about map size in POE2.. well I tell ya.. the maps in this game.. can be at least 3-4x the damn size of maps in POE2. You die, it'll put your right back of the massive level too. It's just again completely dull and unfun.

IMO they should move on from this old janky crap game. And put all the effort into making POE2 great.
