Oh boy. Armed Assault 3.

This game is a brilliant masterpiece. I will go by three main factors that I love about this game, and three main factors I dislike about this game.

Realism. This game is amazing when it comes to this, be it you act as an A-10 doing CAS runs, all the way to creeping through the jungles in Vietnam. The developers really made this game shine in this aspect, because they have realistic ballistics and has really immersed me and my friends playing this game. I really love this aspect. It really has come far from ArmA 2.

Modding. This is where ArmA 3 really shows its potential. This game has probably thousands of mods, and from either sh*tposts, realism mods, all the way to entire original campaigns. Some of the few - Ace, RHS, and CUP.

First - Ace. Ace is a nice realism all-in-one. It has a realistic medical system, where you have to heal each limb, and it varies from medical equipment from elastic bandages, to medics using blood IV's. It also has a backblast system, and also one where you need earplugs in to prevent tinnitus.

Now, RHS. RHS adds the United States Armed Forces, the Russian Armed Forces, and mods that can add much more, it's a must for ArmA operations.

CUP. CUP has some similarities to RHS, on CUP Units and Vehicles. It adds ports from ArmA 2. CUP Maps and Terrain add ports of previous maps from other ArmA games, and some other assets. This is all I really know about the main mods, and this is getting too long.

The Community. ArmA 3's community is probably one of my favorites, because of how nice they are - of course there are some exceptions. I have met some pretty chill people on ArmA 3, and I honestly think a lot of people in ArmA 3 are cool. You'll meet the occasional vet and such, and all that I've talked to are really nice. And then there's the LARPers. I guess I'm somewhat of one myself, but I'm more of a casual mil-sim person myself. Most of these people are cool - but they are kind of cringeworthy at times. Overall, a great community.

Now, the things I dislike about ArmA 3.

First, dear god the DLC's. Contact's alright, but Global Mobilization, which is basically a mod adding East and West Germany, and a little more stuff. I feel it should be a little more cheaper than it is, and I also think that some of the others - like Marksmen shouldn't be DLC's at all. But, that's my opinion.

Second. The AI. I almost never play ArmA 3 with base game AI. ArmA 3's AI is pretty cancer at times, and sometimes hard to deal with while Zeusing. For instance, one second you're sneaking behind them with NVG's on - they don't have any - and all of a sudden you get lit the f*ck up - it's pretty annoying. But, thank god you can mod ArmA to high hell and fix these problems, for the most part.

Third, the Physics. I'll admit that the physics are pretty funny, but if you have spent three hours on patrol in an MRAP and your driver hits a rock - and you go flying, this is where it's annoying. Or maybe if you sling loaded an ATV under your Black Hawk, and you start spinning like you're a f*cking record player at max speed, I think you get what I'm saying here. ArmA's physics are pretty damn annoying.

Honestly, I love this game. It's amazing, but it has its ups n' downs, but I'd say still fun. If I had to rate it from 1/10, I'd give it an 8.3, which is pretty good.

This is my first in-depth review, so I hope I did well. Thanks for reading.
