I give the game a 8/10, it has some flaws, but is overall a very good survival horror game.

Subnautica is very fun and scary survival game, almost everything in the game is at least fun to interact with. The leviathans in the game are terrifying for most of the game, but kinda fall apart once you realize how simple their AI is. But most horror games get less scary the more you play them, so it isn't really a big con.

The visuals in the game are so good, probably the best in any survival game I've played. The creature designs in the game are very good, they're scary when they need to be, and just pretty otherwise. Most biomes are very pretty, or just horrifying, sometimes both.

The grind is ok, each "tier" is very rewarding, as most of the early"tiers" get you the vehicles, but the grind gets kinda bad once you try to make a larger base. The vehicles are all fun to pilot, people bash on the cyclops, but if you are smart with where you take it and use the cameras, it's easy to get around with it.The base building is weak, and kills the performance if you build more than around two dozen pieces, but can be fun if you don't try to go too deep into it.

The late game is weaker than the early and mid game, once you get to the final area you are tasked with a boring fetch quest, then after a very good moment, another kinda fetch quest, but it's better than the first as you'll already have most if not all of the materials ready. I'm going to keep this vague to avoid spoilers, but the pacing of the game is just decimated by the first fetch quest, but the ending is 100% worth it. The second fetch quest isn't even a quarter as bad as the first, and is kinda fun.
